23.01.2022 Some memorabilia made for Jan Lindrum. Plenty of interesting history here if you follow snooker. Loved learning about the life of Horace Lindrum from Jan as we made this in memory of her father. Visit the Lindrum website for yourself and read about a great snooker player!! Jacaranda box with hand burnt logo and signature. Cue is Rosewood with Jacaranda inlay.

16.01.2022 Very busy over the past month at Wood We Create. One job we had the privilege of being involved with the turning of the perpetual trophies for the big race - the Melbourne Cup. Local craftsman Manny, approached us to help him out with the turning of the 8 Bucket trophies, for the winning horses, to receive a drink from after the race and 8 smaller version Cups, shaped like the buckets, for the winning strappers. After Manny constructed the buckets with stave construction, t...he turning was done at wood We Create workshop. The buckets were finished in a two part lacquer, by Manny. Then sent on to the silversmith to receive the gorgeous silver trim to finish the trophies off. Here is a couple of pics. The timber is Tasmanian Blackwood. Thank you Manny for allowing us to help you with this exciting work. If you’re curious. Manny was the designer/maker of the timber bath installed into the house on ‘the block’ a few seasons ago.
