18.01.2022 12 months ago 9 Nov 19 Johns River Fire Ward Rd 2400 1100 hrs Crew: Capt Adam Garnett, Dep Capt Micheal Coventry, AF Brett Selby Appliance: Wootton 1... After being urgently redeployed from the Harrington Fire, we arrived at Ward Rd, Johns River to find an active firefront with lives and property under threat. We spent the remainder of the night and the next morning protecting houses, clearing roads for emergency services, backburning, and generally trying to contain a bad situation.

Appliance : Wootton 1 We were tasked with patrolling & protecting the perimeter of town with 1 other truck after the main task force left at 1900 hrs to go to another fire ground. 03.01.2022 12 months ago 3 Nov 19 O’Leary’s Fire in the Cooperabung Range, Telegraph Point (just north of Port Macquarie) Crew: Capt Adam Garnett, Sen Dep Capt Bernard Carran, BF Karen Carran... Appliance: Wootton 1 We were tasked with stopping the fire from crossing a ridge and heading west towards properties and other assets. Fortunately, after a day on the mountain, the fire was held back so that ongoing patrols eventually extinguished the fire.
