24.01.2022 I remember cycling the Col d’Aubisque and Soulor on this grey day on our Bordeaux-Barcelona tour in 2016... I was disappointed initially that it was cloudy and the group would miss the spectacular mountain views... but instead it was a beautifully eerie climb, with mist, cowbells and atmosphere, with views opening up and closing down, framed by levels of clouds and fog. Climbing a mountain is never the same experience... and there’s always a reason to go back! #pyrenees #bordeauxbarcelona #wideopenroadcycletours #france #aubisque #soulor

21.01.2022 Missing France this year? Here’s a great challenge that takes in many WOR favourite rides/climbs! Anyone going to give it a go??

21.01.2022 The Pyrenees is a pretty magical place to ride a bike - but sometimes you just need to stop and enjoy the views! Can’t wait to be back there one day soon, doing what we do best! #cycletour #cycleholidays #pyrenees #france #Spain @bscarlett.k

21.01.2022 What a strange year - watching the Le Tour de France on TV in August in Melbourne instead of being in France in June! We'd planned to see the opening stages of the race with our Barcelona - Nice tour group, on the spectacular Promenade des Anglais & surrounding mountains. It's a place close to our hearts, filled with beautiful scenery, mountains, hilltop villages and Provençal cuisine. So, let's kick back and enjoy a different perspective of the ride on TV - with a glass of something French in hand and the knowledge that we will be back... Sooner rather than later, we hope! Vive Le Tour!

20.01.2022 How we will feel when we can get back over to Europe cycling!! @theswedishmeatball_ on the #coldupeyresourde ... #pyrenees #france #cycletour

20.01.2022 WOR News... our latest newsletter has just gone out with some news and updates about our plans for the remainder of 2020 and beyond!

20.01.2022 Chapeau Richie! Fantastic riding throughout the Tour, particularly on the climb to the Col de la Loze and yesterday's Contre la Montre! A very well deserved podium finish! Wish we'd been there to cheer you on road-side but we have been glued to our TVs in Australia this year. Enjoy the celebrations in Paris and then the special time with your family and new baby!

20.01.2022 Can you name all 4 of these iconic French Alps climbs? Hint: We ride them all on our Nice-Alpe d’Huez tour!

14.01.2022 Dolomites dreaming...

14.01.2022 On 11 November 1918, the guns of the Western Front fell silent after four years of continuous warfare. With their armies retreating and close to collapse, Germa...n leaders signed an Armistice, bringing to an end the First World War. From the summer of 1918, the five divisions of the Australian Corps had been at the forefront of the allied advance to victory. Beginning with their stunning success at the battle of Hamel in July, they helped to turn the tide of the war at Amiens in August, followed by the capture of Mont St Quentin and Pèronne, and the breaching of German defences at the Hindenburg Line in September. By early October the exhausted Australians were withdrawn from battle. They had achieved a fighting reputation out of proportion to their numbers, but victory had come at a heavy cost. They suffered almost 48,000 casualties during 1918, including more than 12,000 dead. In the four years of the war more than 330,000 Australians had served overseas, and more than 60,000 of them had died. Today, we remember and want to say 'Merci Australia'! We will never forget... #1MS #Lestweforget
