16.01.2022 I have always advised, Intro for club comps and training days, not for State and national comps!

13.01.2022 EquiDirectory is an Australian Horse Directory. Get more exposure for your business.

11.01.2022 Place-getters from the Preliminary class. From left to right- Kate Fraser, Judge: Jody Hartstone, Heather Deacon, Organiser: Sarah Blackburn, Janine Burns, Mimi Atkinson

10.01.2022 Ask not what your horse can do for you, But what can you achieve with your horse!!! Just what Australia needs, more Working Equitation competitions

08.01.2022 I have always advised intro should be used only for club comps and training days. If horse or rider are not ready and competent, they should not be competing in state and national competitions.

08.01.2022 Di, Lucia and I had a lovely day yesterday visiting Heather Davidson at Gotico Park Andalusian Stud in Blayney, NSW. goticopark.com.au We saw some wonderful stock. Heathers Mares, foals and stallions all with beautiful manners. I would highly recommend any one wanting a quality Andalusian to give Heather a visit. My friend Di bought a very nice pure bred mare with excellent potential for dressage. http://www.goticopark.com.au/index.php?page=home Thank you Heather for a wonderful day!

08.01.2022 TEAM AUS IS HEADED TO THE WE UNITED NATIONALS ! ALL FOUR RIDERS MANAGED TO QUALIFY OVER THE WEEKEND. Today Mark Mason and his beautiful mount came in champion... in the novice A. This combination is just getting better and better ! Once again Mark rode such clever lines to show his mares strengths. I am thankful to Mark for helping me sort out a few tactful lines to help my mare keep the flow. Mark certainly is a class act! Memoria and I came in fouth on a countback in the intermediate. Bonnie Holstein, I can't thank you enough for warming me up and just being there for me. Bonnie explained how to make some subtle changes that helped the mare understand the job I needed from her. Fancy your aussie coach being in Oregon at the same time as the qualifying show! Obviously it was just meant to be. I was very happy with our dressage test. We need to work on clarity in the walk in the simple changes and sometimes she still dives on the forehand in our downward transitions. Our eoh was a wee bit tense but when it was time for the speed round I had a super partner. Memoria stuggles to wait so we have spent a whole lot of time this week standing by the jug table. As I lean down to pick up the jug she pretty much just leaves . Today practicing for the eoh I spent fifteen minutes just standing next to a garbage can, we moved on once she could wait and not be anxious. Our tactics worked as in our round she stood square, immobile and on the bit. I had a smile from ear to ear as I lifted that jug above my shoulder. The girl truly trusted me to make adjustments and wait in the speed round. I schooled through most of the speed round, I had told Julie I would just trot. The mare felt so good underneath me I let her run on a few long lines and the single slalom. Wow! The girl sure can get about! I am looking foward to letting her run at nationals. Michael Godding and Seth made huge in roads over the three days of competition. What a beautiful, athletic young stallion with the natural ability to sit in canter. Today Seth was much more forward and with Michaels soft hands he is becoming steadier on the contact . Seth belongs to Morgan ( well know for her amazing partnership with Endo the blind), I am excited to watch their journey moving up the equitaion ranks . The young stallion has everthing it takes to be an elite athlete and I am sure with Mogan as his partner he will reach his full potential . A month of training with Michael will certainly help him on the journey. Now lily and Red are just special together! This young four year old is such a talented youngster . The improvement in just five days is phenomenal! To watch them dance their way through the speed today was inspiring. We have all made many new friends and were welcomed with open arms. I am looking forward to see what we can achieve in the next three weeks. We all let out a sigh of relieve when our scores came up and they were all high enough to qualify for nationals. Now it is time to settled down and train. We will walk our horses out tomorrow and enjoy some well earned rest. There was a professional photographer at the event so we will post some pics over the next week. I am honestly exhausted, so it's off to bed for me. Goodnight Australia See more

04.01.2022 W.E.Q this Tuesday 9.30am start at Sandford Park, 7th & 21st May

04.01.2022 Congratulations to all our competitors at the Australian National Working Equitation NSW Horse of The Year competition hosted by Working Equitation Hawkesbury t...o Hunter on the weekend. We had horses and riders travel far and wide including from Mudgee, Tamworth, Camden, Sydney, upper Hunter and of course our local H2H members. There were some sensational and inspirational rides shown from all clubs and it was a fantastic atmosphere that shone through even when the rain came down. From our youngest competitors, to our oldest competitors; in age or experience, what a job well done. Thanks you to the 6 judges for the event and all the volunteers that worked tirelessly. The competition results were tight in all levels with a few surprises at the end. Despite the rain, (and no fancy under cover arenas here!), our competitors, volunteers, judges and photographers all showed the true Australian spirit and just kept continuing to dance and work wonders in the rain. With 3/4 of the country in drought, why not just keep celebrating and playing! This is working in the field! Photos from the event are still being uploaded by photographers and may take a few more days as they took so many good ones. Please check in regularly. Please be respectful of their hard work and that they continued photographing even in the rain. No screen shots are allowed. This is stealing. The photos are for sale. http://www.geosnapshot.com/e/weqh2h-hoty-competition If there are some minor editing requests for Joanna's photos, she has kindly offered to help. 03.01.2022 As the founder of W.E.Q in Australia, NZ and south Africa. I have some great news for all W.E.Q enthusiasts. After a long and arduous journey we have been accepted by the world association of working equitation ( Portugal). Known as W.A.W.E to represent and be the leading body of working Equitation here in Australia. Congratulations to the A.N.W.E committee especially Chris and Glynis. Nicola Denner is President of Working Equitation Germany, Professional Dressage traine...r and W.A.W.E Judge. She judges W.E.Q all over the world and was off to Huston USA after her stay in Australia. Glynis met her whilst she was in Munich at the International W.E.Q Championship last year. Glynis invited her on behalf of A.N.W.E to visit Australia to judge and give a W.E.Q judges seminar which I attended last week It was fascinating and very interesting to see international riders being judged and given a chance to show off our judging prowess under her guidance, Approx 30 people attended. I was disappointed not to see more, especially some of the other clubs committee members. Nicola told me how impressed she was with the professional way W.E.Q had been organised here, from what she had seen, and the enormous interest all over Australia. Once again thanks to A.N.W.E, Glynis. and Chris http://www.anweltd.com.au/ See more

01.01.2022 Something to aim for, Good things come to those who work hard!

01.01.2022 I recently spent a very enjoyable constructive weekend introducing some great riders to WEQ. It was by invitation from Mark and Deb Rodney of the Hawkesbury n...atural horsemanship centre. I am delighted to say we now have 3 new qualified accredited WEQ trainers. Mark, Deb and their friend Patsy Devine from South Africa. All professional riders and trainers. Patsy is from Durbin South Africa, she will be introducing WEQ to South Africa they do not have it there. She will be using Australian rules and regulations, and keeping in touch by internet and skype on a regular basis. Mark and I are hoping to host some WE competitions in the near future at their excellent centre. See more
