Boston Under Water, a new series from WBUR 9...0.9 FM environmental reporting team, will look at how our city is thinking through some of the challenges that lie ahead. From constructing berms and wetlands to measuring stormwater flooding to thinking up new modes of transportation, Boston Under Water will probe into the needs, possible solutions, and questions around equity and effectiveness. Boston Under Water debuts Monday, June 14 on wbur.org with a special segment during WBUR’s Radio Boston from 3 to 4 p.m. To learn more, check out the link below! https://www.wbur.org//boston-under-water-wbur-climate-chan . . . #sealvelrise #WBUR #Boston #climatechange #climatecrisis #oceans

23.01.2022 One week ago we teamed up with Pew Environment, The Nature Conservancy in New York and the New York Harbor School to add 5,000 farmed oysters to Buttermilk Chan...nel off of Governors Island! Click the link in our bio to see Ginger Zee's coverage from ABC News Live. Last week's installation was unique in that large, single seed oysterstoo large for marketwere added to #nyharbor. 22.01.2022 Living Seawalls gets tropical! The team has successfully installed their most recent installation in Townsville as part of an international experiment, testing ...eco-engineering interventions in tropical and temperate areas. With sites now in place in both Townsville and Singapore, they'll be able to assess how Living Seawalls habitat panels perform in tropical areas compared to some of the temperate sites in Sydney. As always, many thanks to all of our collaborators who make this project happen: JCU: James Cook University, Australia (@AndySHoey @evamcclure, National University of Singapore(Peter Todd's @EMUL_NUS), funded by the Department of Industry Innovation and Science (@ScienceGovAu), and finally a special thanks to Townsville Port for supporting the project with installation sites. Check out this great report from 7NEWS Townsville for the full story!

11.01.2022 California sea otters have rebounded after being almost hunted to extinction. However, it appears that limitations to their current range is keeping the species... stuck at a cap of around 3000 individuals. Reintroducing breeding populations to other locations may be an interesting solution. And the San Fransisco Bay could be a (surprising) option. https://www.scientificamerican.com//sea-otters-could-get-/
