25.01.2022 Shhhhhh! Don’t wake the baby! We’ve had good reason for keeping quiet around here (wink) Our newest little love has arrived! ... Whilst we are still available for conversions, I thank you for your understanding if I take a few days in responding. It’s a mighty big change when a new little person arrives, though we are now happily finding our rhythm (smile) If you’re keen to try out one of our ring slings, please message. There are three available: Perilune, Astrid, and Jax. Perilune is a hybrid sling with gathered centre and equal pleats on each side. Astrid, a traditional floating gathered sling. 22.01.2022 SURPRISE! It’s been pretty quiet around here lately and this is why! We’re having another baby! It’s been one hell of a ride so far and things are finally on the up. ... For those of you that haven’t heard of Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG), it’s a pregnancy complication and is characterised by severe nausea, vomiting, weight loss, and dehydration. As yet, no one understands why some women get HG and others don’t. Due to this HG often goes undiagnosed and is dismissed as morning sickness, which it isn’t. Fortunately, there is a growing awareness around HG and there are options for symptom management - Melbourne’s Royal Womens Hospital has a very thorough set of guidelines for management and I encourage anyone within the health and birthing world to check them out. I also encourage friends and family of anyone having suffered (or suffering) HG to have a read through them and pass the info on (as often, when you’re in the middle of it, it’s just too much to find the info for yourself). HG has been my journey, as it was with Z, my first pregnancy. I’m glad that things are now looking up! It means I can jump back in the sewing room but first it needs a proper tidy up, poor room has been very neglected these past months. I look forward to sharing new creations with everyone soon! 16.01.2022 The lovely L from Wollongong her @ankaliatextiles Atari Tetris wrap converted into 2 slings. A Perilune hybrid shoulder with the green side out and gold rings, and an Astrid floating gathered shoulder with the white side showing and gold rings. 15.01.2022 Hello! We’ve been a little quiet on the post front so here’s an update! We were busy working away when our big sewing machine needed some love... That love turned into a visit from the mechanic! After a few emails, phone calls, and taking a deep breath, we’re back to working - Woohoo! 14.01.2022 Well, we’ve hit the third trimester! I’ve found a new mojo and more sewing has been happening - it’s kinda awesome! Today I had a glorious breakfast with my friend and then came home to sewing with 90’s music blasting. I’ve started on an @ankaliatextiles Mako Fairy Floss sling conversion. I also finished up a sling conversion using a one of a kind @wraptureaus wrap - Tangent Acid House.... 14.01.2022 Now just because the BIG sewing machine has been out of action, doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy! Measuring and pinning pleats, sewing on labels, and more pinning for this handwoven. 14.01.2022 Introducing Perilune, our hybrid ring sling conversion. Perilune features a gathered centre with equal pleats on each side. The gathering and pleats work together to create a comfortable shoulder cap whilst also allowing for great fabric spread across the back.
