23.01.2022 Four missions - #Muswellbrook #Bungawalbin, #EllenboroughFalls and #Tamworth The Westpac #RescueHelicopter has completed a mission to bushland near #Muswellbroo...k. Two motorcycles had collided with both riders sustaining serious injuries. Thank you to local first responders including NSW Ambulance Paramedics. Both patients were treated on scene and stabilised by the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team prior to being airlifted to the #JohnHunter Hospital. A second motorcycle incident at #Bungawalbin west of #Woodburn has also required urgent assistance. A male had fallen from his bike suffering a serious injury. He was also treated on scene before flight to #GoldCoast University Hospital for further treatment. A third mission required the Helicopter’s medical team to be winch inserted in to #EllenboroughFalls at #Elands, north-west of #Taree. A lady suffering a medical condition on a walking track at the bottom of the falls required urgent assistance. After treatment at the scene, the lady was winched on board the aircraft utilising an ARV (Air Rescue Vest) and was transported to #Manning Base Hospital. A short time ago, a patient was transferred from #Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital to #JohnHunter Hospital suffering a medical condition requiring specialist treatment. #ThankYou for your support. #Community #24-7 #HereForYou. 08.01.2022 Overnight the Westpac #RescueHelicopter was tasked on a medical retrieval to #Muswellbrook Hospital, to transfer a two week old baby girl to John Hunter Childre...n’s Hospital. The baby is suffering a medical condition which requires specialist treatment. 06.01.2022 Car Collision with Train, Medical Retrieval, Two Car Accident, Burns Injuries This afternoon the Westpac #RescueHelicopter was tasked by #NSWAmbulance to a ca...r and train collision at #Wallarobba, south of #Dungog. It was reported from scene that a single vehicle and train collided with three occupants of the vehicle suffering serious injuries. Local #EmergencyServices attended the location and commenced treatment, with the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team arriving shortly after to assist. A male and female were flown to John Hunter Hospital, #Newcastle. In addition to this mission, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter also assisted three other people in the past 24 hours: Transported a male suffering a serious medical condition from #GlenInnes Hospital to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital. Attended a serious two vehicle collision south west of #Gunnedah. A female was treated on scene by the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team, before being flown to #Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital suffering chest injuries.
