Rodgers and Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA will be rehearsed and staged in the Northern Illawarra area, with Direction by Liam Woods and Musical Direction by Erin Hand. ... 17.01.2022 LITTLE WOMEN UPDATE We are so thrilled to be returning to the stage in November with the stage play adaptation of Little Women! Audition Bookings are filling up, so if you've thought about auditioning, now is the time to book! Below we will answer some questions we have been asked regarding auditions. ACCENTS... We'd love to see you have a go at an accent! Any American accent is fine for the auditions. The character Hannah is of Irish descent, so we are happy for you to use either an Irish or American accent for the audition. AGE RESTRICTION Whilst Woods-Ray is a Youth Theatre Company, sometimes we choose shows in which there are roles that should be played by adults (such as parent roles). As such, we have taken the upper age limit away for the roles of MARMEE, MR MARCH and AUNT MARCH. The lower age limit for this production is 13 for all roles. VIDEO AUDITIONS We are accepting video auditions! Just get in touch and let us know you're intending to make a video audition, and we will send you the dialogue for your character. Simply record your video, either with just your dialogue or someone else reciting the other dialogue behind the camera, and email back to us on or before Sunday, August 9. If you have already sent us a video audition with the musical materials, you will need to get in touch and re-record your video. 01.01.2022 PRODUCTION UPDATE Woods-Ray Theatricals has made the difficult yet necessary decision to postpone our Junior Production, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. This will be a trying time for us all. Whilst we are fortunate to avoid a lot of the damage, we are truly feeling for all of our sibling companies who will feel the blow a lot more than us. We are also very disheartened at the thought of how many will be affected by this pandemic. ... We would also like to extend a large THANK YOU to everyone working in frontline and essential roles, who are taking time away from their families who may be housebound to serve the greater community. While this is the least of our concerns at the moment, we are sure questions will be raised. In terms of a new performance season for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR, we cannot comment, as it is truly unknown at this stage. Our production of 'bare' will also be indefinitely postponed. We have also made the decision that Rodgers and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA is to be removed from our 2020 Season, purely to aid the relief for our two other productions. However, we hope to restage this as part of our 2021 Season. WE WILL BE BACK. <3

01.01.2022 IMPORTANT LITTLE WOMEN UPDATE As our state’s COVID-19 situation continues to change, we have made a change to our November production, to ensure the safety of all involved. Concerns have been bought to light regarding the production of a musical due to the singing factor - with groups of performers singing, it is inevitably much harder to control effective social distancing. Therefore, in a one-off for Woods-Ray Theatricals, we will now be staging the non-musical stage p...lay adaptation of LITTLE WOMEN by Scott Davidson. This adaptation is a charming and comedic retelling of the classic story, which is sure to delight our audiences just as much as the musical version.
