08.01.2022 It is with deep sorrow that we inform you our WSKF Belgium Chief Instructor Shihan Haynes passed away on the 6th of May at the age of 77. After a few years of J...udo training Sensei HAYNES began karate in 1967. He obtained his black belt (1st Dan) in 1974 and thought the art of Karate since 1975. For 45 years, he has been devoted to share his passion for the wonderful martial art that is karate. Meeting and training with Kanazawa Soke back in the days was and always remained an example and an inspiration for his karate practice and development. After playing an important role in the establishment of the SKIF in Belgium he decided to create the TSK federation and joined Sensei Kasuya and the WSKF in 1995. The past experiences of Sensei Haynes enriched by the creativity and amazing kumite expertise of Sensei Kasuya gave his students a very rich and wide approach of this extraordinary martial art. Sensei Haynes obtained his 8th Dan from Sensei Kasuya in 2016 and kept teaching his students (as often as his decreasing health would allow) until the end of 2019. (mizu no kokoro) "a spirit like water" Today, the reflection of the moon on the lake of his mind will no longer be disturbed. The image will no longer be cloudy. Make way for the path of peace and tranquility. Dearest Sensei, may you rest in peace. You will always remain in our memories. OSS
