15.01.2022 Getting the ewes ready for mating. Ewe weaners off to Ferguson Valley for a holiday, older ewes back at Burekup. CIDR's out on Thursday and Friday, rams in on Thursday.

14.01.2022 With price of grain so high, any substitute protein, energy and fibre is most welcome. At $20/ tonne carrot seconds fit the budget.

13.01.2022 Breakfast, at 2c per kilo ( 10c/kg dry matter) the ewes are putting on condition. Not much protein in a carrot but plenty of energy. Eating about 60 kgs per week and not a scrap left behind.

13.01.2022 The Brunswick Show may have cancelled but the Sheep Show will go ahead on Sunday 25th October, 9am, at the Showgrounds. There will be at least 4 Heritage breeds represented - Shropshire, Dorset Horn, Lincoln and English Leicester....plus Wiltshire Horn, Wiltipoll and Southdowns. Free entry to the public...just a Sheep Show.

05.01.2022 Hi , all you current and aspiring breeders of Heritage Sheep. I have organised for two Rams to come from the East in mid-October. Very good rates with an experienced carrier. If you want to piggy back on this load let me know. If you are a first timer I can put you in touch with reputable breeders in the East. It would be fantastic to get some Hampshire and Ryeland sheep into WA.
