Please keep a eye on your temp gauge as we have had three vehicles towed in this week with blown head gaskets due to overheating. 11.01.2022 Modern engines will outlast the vehicle lifetime if looked after and serviced on or before manufactures specifications. It is becoming all to common to see oil sludge becoming the reason the engine fails and results in the vehicle being scrapped due to repair costs. Pictures of Ve commodore engine sludge build up due to excessive oil change intervals. This one only had 90,000 kms on the clock. Had 6 services in its life. U can see the oil pick up @ 80% blocked. Regular oil changes every 6 months and this would not occur. Cost $8000 for new engine. Client scraped vehicle as was worth about the same.
