Hen: well, WE might not get names, but when we die we get many names. Humans on the other hand are only called ghosts or zombies. ... Chick: what are we called when we die then? Hen: names such as tandoori chicken, curry chicken, chilli chicken, roast chicken, chicken vindaloo and even have shops names often us, Kentucky fried chicken. Have a great weekend!

25.01.2022 Turmeric will be CLOSED next Saturday 14 November. We are celebrating Diwali. Diwali is a Hindu festival with lights, held in the period October to November. It is particularly associated with Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity, and marks the beginning of the financial year in India. There are several events being organised around Brisbane, I will post these events.

14.01.2022 Thought I might write a few notes on curries as I prepare the new Turmeric menu. should be interesting reading ! . Which curry is the hottest? Phaal, Vindaloo and Madras are some of the hottest curries available. Phaal is actually a British - Indian curry dish, which originated in Indian restaurants in Birmingham and is one of the hottest forms of curry regularly available, even hotter than the vindaloo, using a large number of ground standard chilli peppers, or a hotter typ...e of chilli such as scotch bonnet or habanero. Typically, the dish is a tomato-based thick curry and includes ginger and optionally fennel seeds. Madras' served in restaurants can vary in spice and are usually hot or very hot, red or brown, a hotter version of a plain curry or quite rich in tomatoes. It is seen as a standard hot curry. Vindaloo, in many restaurants, is seen as a pumped up version of a madras.
