18.01.2022 WATER TREATMENT PLANT FOR WYANGALA Today I was joined by NSW Water Minister Melinda Pavey, David Stanke from Reflections Holiday Parks, Cowra Shire Council Ma...yor Bill West, CEO of Enviropacific David Tucker and General Manager Water Enviropacific Sagar Adhikari to announce the contract for Wyangala's water treatment plant. This plant will mean Wyangala has a reliable potable supply and has been the number one concern for the local community since I was elected. I am so pleased we are finally able to address this issue for the Wyangala community and I thank the community and the Council for their advocacy on it. Enviropacific will be undertaking this $4 million project which will be able to deliver an additional 800,000 litres of clean drinking water each day to residents and holidaymakers in Wyangala Village and the Wyangala Waters Holiday Park. This project is aiming to make the most of local business and skills including fabrication, electrical installation, civil engineering, civil and earthworks and geotechnical surveying over the coming months. And of course it will create local jobs. This is a great day for the Wyangala community and I look forward to keeping everyone updated as this project progresses.

07.01.2022 LATEST COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS The Premier and NSW Chief Medical Officer announced new COVID-19 restrictions a short time ago. Here's what is changing from nex...t Friday (24/7): At all indoor hospitality venues bookings will be restricted to groups no larger than 10. This includes pubs, restaurants, cafes, clubs. Funerals and places of worship are limited to 100 people Weddings are capped at 150 people You can still have up to 20 visitors to your home, but it is recommended you keep this number to 10. All venues must adhere to the 4sqm rule, so one person per 4sqm. Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Dr Kerry Chant have stressed the focus is to reduce mingling and making sure people stay apart in a COVID-safe way. The Premier has explained the difference in numbers at funerals and weddings is due to the way these services are conducted, with people more likely to be seated for the duration of a wedding, whereas funerals often move between the place of service and burial/cremation site. Here's what you can do: Keep practicing good hygiene by washing your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, or by using hand sanitiser. If you have symptoms and live in the Western NSW Local Health District, call your local health service, your GP or the COVID-19 hotline on 1300 066 055. If you live in the Murrumbidgee LHD call the MLHD COVID-19 hotline on 1800 831 099 to speak with a nurse and find out if you should be tested. If you're feeling unwell, stay home. This is a rapidly changing situation but our priority is to keep our communities safe. Take care and look after one another. Sx
