24.01.2022 Karen spent time catching up with Cudga Edga and Helen Brahim Robinson. At Wyndcorp we believe our community involvement is the key to a healthy running business. Karen had the privilege of joining May Wellington and Danka Councillor search for and collect traditional natural bush medicine for the Indigenous community. 21.01.2022 Karen is one of our well known Wyndcorp directors. She has the pleasure of catching up and understanding where members of our indigenous community are physically and mentally. Karen was very fortunate to catch up with Robert Willaluno and Diane Sama on their essential food supply run into the town. It was very exciting to see that both of you are doing very well!



21.01.2022 We are very fortunate to be living in WA, but COVID-19 is still a huge problem around Australia and the wider world. Although WA has not had any person to person transfer cases since May 9th Wyndcorp still upholds all COVID requirements. Wyndcorp’s vehicles are cleaned to a high standard and all our staff correctly social distance. We hope everyone stays safe in these uncertain times.

21.01.2022 Wyndcorp would like to say thank you to all the Traditional Elders, members of the mining companies and the Deputy Mayor that attended our lunch yesterday which we co-hosted with Ashburton Aboriginal Corporation. Wyndcorp and AAB were there to showcase their programs which are helping hundreds of people in our Indigenous community and to explain how we can do more in the future.

16.01.2022 One of our directors Karen was lucky enough to spend time and catch up with Michelle Modgridge who came up from Newman. Michelle was in an indigenous hostel due to medical reasons. Karen has spent the last few days with Michelle, assisting on behalf of Wyndcorp with Michelle’s medical condition. We wish you all the best Michelle on your personal journey!

15.01.2022 From the 9th to the 15th of November we celebrate NAIDOC week. #NAIDOC2020 stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee, which was created in the 1920’s to bring awareness to the status and treatment of Indigenous and Torres Strait Australians in the community. 15.01.2022 Wyndcorp prides itself on its hard-working staff, from our staff in the office to our drivers and detailers. This is our amazing weekend team in Port Hedland, cleaning and detailing some of our newly returned buses before they go out on the next hire.

03.01.2022 Wydncorp has had the privilege of receiving beautiful messages from the community. This is Milissa Black she lost her husband recently and Wyndcorp stepped keeping her on her feet. Milissa received essential groceries from Wyndcorp keep her and her six children well and healthy in this unfortunate time. The team at Wyndcorp wish you and your children all the best in the future and are glad we could help!

03.01.2022 During the week Karen joined members of the Indigenous community for morning tea at Port Hedland’s Police Station. The morning tea was organised to bring awareness around domestic violence and how it affects the community.

02.01.2022 Rowen Walk for Suicide has been running for the last 3 years in Port Hedland. The walk raises awareness of mental health around the suicide rates in the Indigenous and Torres Strait Island community. Unfortunately, the number of Indigenous and Torres Strait Island suicide rates are 2.6 times higher than the broader community. We were proud to support this event by providing bus transfers free of charge. Wyndcorp hopes that one day this number will no longer exist, and our thoughts are with everyone in the community that has been affected.

02.01.2022 Karen was fortunate to catch up with Faye Edgar, Cecilia Walters, Tara Gimini, Faye Coincillor and Danka Councillor at the lady bug meeting in Boulevard, Port Hedland. Social communication between friends and family is very important for one’s mental health. It is very nice to see beautiful smiles on faces in our community. Enjoy you week ladies and keep those positive smiles!

Karen was lucky enough to spend some time catching up and taking June to various shops as she is eager to start a new chapter in her life. Take the time today to ask your neighbour, friends and family if they are ok. If you or someone you know is struggling, listen with an open mind and refer them to seek help.
