21.01.2022 Vinnie's Van currently provide a fantastic and essential service to the vulnerable members in our Wynyard community; ensuring that everyone who needs it, have a...ccess to a hot and nutritional meal a couple of times a week. Currently, the two sites where the van will be situated in Wynyard are - the car-park behind the Catholic Church on the corner of Goldie Street and Saunders Street (6.00 to 6.30PM Tuesday and Wednesday) and the airport end of Saunders Street in the car-park of an internal group of units (6.30PM Tuesday).

18.01.2022 Tomorrows walk is a great way to complete your 10K effort toward the virtual Heritage Burnie 10 https://www.burnieten.com.au/ also being held this weekend. Register up until late Sunday night. A great idea if you wish to have a continuous record of participation. Many people choose to walk the Burnie 10 or shorter 5k events. The Inglis River track provides a relaxing alternative. The only vehicle traffic encountered out and back is when crossing Saunders Street near the Table Cape Bridge over the Inglis River .

14.01.2022 The Wynyard Historical Society Inc. would love to find some information on the attached photos or to return them to their families. One is a lovely family photo of a soldier, his wife and child. The other, a wedding photo, has the following information on the back "Annie Ethel Allen and Alfred Fennings (maybe Jennings) 17 May 1909.

12.01.2022 How many people around wynyard area would use this recycling hub? I know I would and a few others would too, I didn’t know how to tag the post on here, so added as a photo

08.01.2022 One of our last Spring Loaded events. Spilt Milk and beans (Viv & Donna) will be there before and after for a heart starter or reviver after the walk. Tides good so no wet feet anticipated this year. A good walk to test your endurance before heading to more remote destinations around Tasmania.

08.01.2022 Good to see people of all ages having some fun today despite a few grumpy motorists not happy with the road closure .

07.01.2022 Well done to all the volunteers at the Lobster Ponds.

01.01.2022 The amount of cars that park over these yellow stripes is mind boggling. Someone who parked in this disability carpark last week who uses a wheelchair had 2 car...s park beside them in the hour that they were parked there. One of those allowed no room for her to get out of the car to get into her wheelchair, forcing her to then wait for that car to leave. Please think before parking in these spaces, they are there for a reason.....not just so you can run into the shop quickly.

01.01.2022 Tulips are in flower out at Moorleah. Worth the drive to Cameron’s Road.
