19.01.2022 100 Days to Victory wins Best Sound in a Documentary at the 2019 AACTA awards! I'm truly honoured to have had the opportunity to work with ELECTRIC PICTURES on 100 DTV. There's a lot of pressure when soundscaping a documentary that all the sounds you are gathering or creating sound and feel authentic. I spent a lot of time in pre-production researching all the different guns used from each country during WWI and watching hours of youtube videos from gun collectors lea...rning how the mechanics worked and how each gun sounded. As the post turn around was quite tight, I knew I had to find a quick and easy way to tracklay the episodes with the guns I created. Firstly for the off-screen surround bed tracks, I used Sound Particles, which I also found helpful in creating the sounds for the impacts of the explosions. I then used Krotos Weaponizer for BG character weapons & the machine guns. Finally, I hand layed the key weapons giving them a bit more depth and personality to make sure these stood out from the warzone cacophony. I had a lot of fun working on this project and I always love working with Ric & Electric. I'm very proud of the show we all created and bonus I got a little toy surprise! See more

18.01.2022 Over the past 3 years, Matt has rubbed this pencil down to almost breaking point during our VO records for Aussie Gold Hunters. Now its time to hand it over as I put down my detector SFX and put on my moonband (more on that later!) All the way back in 2016 XB Studios had only been open 1 month before Electric Pictures with Ric Curtin put their trust in me to FX edit their new series. 4 seasons later I can say Ive truly loved working on the show. Im looking forward to working on many more amazing projects with Electric, but until then Ill enjoy watching the new season of Aussie Gold purely as a viewer.

12.01.2022 A huge congratulations to the team behind WA short film Carmentis which has just been named winner of the Best Short Film in the inaugural CinefestOZ Short Film... Prize. Writer/director Antony Webb and producer Jaclyn Hewer were on hand to collect the $5000 top prize, awarded by a jury of esteemed industry professionals, which included Jury Chairs screenwriter Dot West and producer Taryne Laffar; and Jury members, actors Luke Carroll, Kelton Pell and Kate Walsh and producer Brooke Silcox.
