25.01.2022 Some exciting news: we have officially broken ground on the site where ole ChoppyChoppySmashySmashy will be landing next month, with preparations underway for the slab that is being laid this week. Even while feeling thoroughly bogged down in the 'grinding it out' phase of start-up operations; dealing with a mild case of overwhelmed founder jitters; trying to smash through seemingly endless To-Do List, and with pretty much everything demanding immediate attention, I was still able to take more than a little bit of pleasure and get a wee bit excited when I saw this photo yesterday... especially knowing that I have the worlds smallest and cutest site supervisor handling things in my absence ;) - Andi Lucas, Founder

25.01.2022 No need to convince me about this one... hemp fibre had me at hello ;) - Andi Lucas, Founder https://hemptoday.net/industrial-hemp-fiber-is-better-than/

19.01.2022 The 'Investor Information Pack' for the raising of capital for the purchase of Tasmania's first mobile hemp processing unit is now available on request from [email protected]. The lending scenario for X-Hemp's start-up capital is a very simple one. These investments are simply business loans from a consortium of interested parties who have over $5K to contribute, who see value in the 5% per annum return, and who want to support a vital step in the development of the hemp industry in both Tasmania and mainland Australia. Please send us an email to learn more...

18.01.2022 I really enjoyed being interviewed on ABC Hobart Radio's Sundays with Joel Rheinberger yesterday, although re-telling the tale of how I first became involved in the hemp industry did make me question whether the moniker of Disaster Magnet might be an appropriate one ;) - Andi Lucas, Founder https://www.abc.net.au//sunda/handball-andi-lucas/13307690

18.01.2022 X-Hemp is a newly founded company working with Tasmanian licensed hemp farmers, value adding by converting grain stubble into saleable products such as building materials, mulch for landscaping, bast for paper production and hurd for other uses such as animal bedding.

13.01.2022 All hail Queen Jane! Just when I thought I couldn't love Jane Fonda any more than I already do ;) - Andi Lucas, Founder... https://www.forbes.com//jane-fonda-talks-cannabis-i-want-/

12.01.2022 For a business that hasn't officially launched yet, X-Hemp is already drawing a fair amount of attention! A great article ran in The Examiner Newspaper, Launceston yesterday - both online and in print - sharing the story of our founder Andi Lucas' initial curiosity of using hempcrete as a building material, and how that interest led her to a path that will mean Tasmania's licensed growers of low-THC cannabis have a place to sell their grain stubble, and local builders a pla...ce to buy hemp hurd. If you have any questions about this project, or are keen to invest and be part of this exciting new development for the Australian hemp industry, we would love to hear from you :) https://www.examiner.com.au//would-you-build-a-home-made-/

10.01.2022 One of the many hemp-related hats I'm wearing right now - alongside my caps for the Executive Officer role at the Tasmanian Hemp Association, as Founder of NSP Development and X-Hemp, and occasional freelance contributor to HempToday magazine - is the work I'm doing with the Founder Robert Bell as the Support Event Manager for the Australian Industrial Hemp Conference. With so much headgear to choose between each day, I suppose it's lucky that I've doubled my chances of wea...ring them all successfully by being a two-headed Tasmanian ;) I was thrilled to bits to play my part in the securing of hosting rights for the third biennial AIHC which will be happening in Launceston in March 2022, and am confident this one will be a cracker. If you can't wait that long to get your hemp-event itch scratched, then I reckon popping across the ditch for the Kiwi-version of this event would be a very good thing to do too! Check out more details about the IHemp Summit and Expo NZ on their website https://www.hempsummit.nz/ - Andi Lucas, Founder

06.01.2022 X-Hemp got our very first mention in the media last week, sneaking into the last ever print edition of the esteemed Tasmanian Country newspaper. This is the beginning of great things for this little business, and we're excited to share more news as we get this company up-and-running :)

03.01.2022 Excited to see an article about X-Hemp pop up in respected industry magazine HempToday overnight! While we're well on the way to hitting the target raising the necessary funds to purchase the equipment that will mean Tasmanian farmers stop burning hemp grain stubble as a waste material, and instead convert it into high demand products for the local market, we're not there yet, so encourage anyone who wants to know more about the project to call or email to discuss. Huge th...anks go to the makers of the mobile hemp processing unit, Ashford Hemp Industries, and the early supporters of this project - Tasmanian Hemp Association; Ananda Food; Midlands; ECS Botanics; The Australian Hemp Masonry Company - without whom none of this would be happening :) [email protected] || 1300 943 677 https://hemptoday.net/aussie-startup-sees-strong-demand-as/
