17.01.2022 Are you chasing some multispectral or thermal imagery for your next GIS or environmental monitoring project? Is the area to big to cover with drones drones, or do you require higher resolution than satellite? Then at Xmap may have the answer for you. Here is an example of an area we captured with one of our portable mapping systems, with 5 band multispectral + thermal. #gis #mapping #environment #drones #remotesensing #environmental #drone #uav #thermalmapping #Xmap

09.01.2022 Hello and welcome to Xmap a new take on aerial survey. Traditionally to capture vertical aerial photography you had to use a specially modified aircraft with an expensive camera holes cut into the belly. The high cost of modification meant that there were only a small number of suitable aircraft available, and these aircraft normally had to be ferried from their base to the survey site driving up costs. Xmap has solved this problem by developing an STC approved portable mapp...ing system for light aircraft, specifically the Cessna 172. Our system can be fitted in around 30 minutes and turns any Cessna 172 around the world (except the RG) into potential survey aircraft. Meaning that you can hire a local aircraft close to your project area, fit the system and fly your survey, minimizing the amount of aircraft hours flown and reducing the cost of data capture. 02.01.2022 One of the good things about flying multiple sensors on the one flight is that you can play around with data fusion. This image is a thermal mosaic overlaid over a higher resolution colour mosaic. Both data sets were co-acquired on the same flight by one of our portable mapping pods. It shows the thermal plume of hot water from the outlet of a power station into a bay in a coastal lake. #environment #data #drone #thermalmapping #remotesensing #GIS #mapping
