13.01.2022 FYI - Directives at the moment from Football Federation Vic are as stated below. With these restrictions in place for the next 3 weeks we will be unable to comply as we have 80 registered kids and some of the directives are impracticable for junior sport as a volunteer run club. We hope to run next term but will be bound by State Government rules/directed by FFV and it will depend on the magic number we are able to have/and if we are able to comply as a volunteer run club. I ...have attempted to discuss refunds with FFV but at this stage they are hoping we can play term 3. If you are experiencing hardship please call me on 0417672439. FFV DIRECTIVES Able to train in 4 groups of 10 players at your oval, as long as they are evenly spread out around the oval and at no time do the groups merge, especially at the beginning and end of training. Social distancing rules apply to spectators/parents but the total amount of people at the venue must not exceed 100. Parents/spectators must keep their distance from the group of 10 or they will be considered a part of the 10. All activity must be non contact and no competitions to take place. Players must maintain a minimum of 1.5m spacing at all time. No shared equipment ie bibs. Balls are ok. No use of change rooms but toilets are ok. They will have to be sanitised regularly. Before you can start you must have permission from your council and follow any further directives. These restrictions will be in place for at least the next 3 weeks.

11.01.2022 NOTIFICATION FROM SPORTS PARK COMMITTEE Hi All, just to let everyone know that the sportspark oval is getting some long awaited maintenance starting on Thursday 23rd. The oval is being aerated, top dressed and over sown. This work going to benefit the community and sporting groups who enjoy the oval year round so it would be appreciated that for the next 5 weeks everyone could refrain from walking or exercising on the oval and especially letting dogs run over the oval and defecating. Everyone's help from the community will be appreciated by all.

10.01.2022 Oh my gosh! What happy faces we had tonight and how lovely to be part of it. Thank you to our gorgeous soccer community for making tonight happen. We have some gorgeous kids who show compassion and sportsmanship and it’s thanks to the adults who role model this at home, school and on the field. I think many of the kids know how much work was involved in getting this going in such strange times. We are living through history and I have to say how lucky I feel to be part of such a fabulous community of people willing to help. I know there are many kids who have missed out this season and for this I am so very sorry. Here’s hoping between now and next year we have a vaccination and can get back to having bigger groups. Thank you everyone for your understanding in such unprecedented times. Cheers Kelly

03.01.2022 Football Federation are updating us as a club regularly on Covid-19. Closer to our season kick off I guess we’ll know more and I will update you closer to starting. As of today the update is as follows: 16 March 2020... COVID-19 Guidelines for Football All football participants must play a role if we are to help slow the spread of COVID-19, including people organising, attending or supporting attendance at football activities. Effective 16 March 2020, the following guidelines should be adhered to for all football activities, including training and matches. Before participating in football activities Participants should not present to participate in football if they: (a) have any flu-like symptoms; (b) have been in direct contact with a known case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days; (c) have travelled internationally or been exposed to a person with COVID-19 in the preceding 14 days; or (d) are at a high risk from a health perspective, including the elderly and those with pre- existing medical heath conditions. Attendance at football activities Only essential participants should attend football activities, i.e. players, coaches, match officials, staff and volunteers involved in operations and parents/guardians of participants; Only attend as close as practical to the start of any football activity and leave as practically possible after; Children to be accompanied by not more than one parent or guardian, if possible. Practice social distancing at football activities Amend pre and post-match protocols so players and officials do not touch each other, e.g. no shaking hands, no walk out with player mascots; When spectating or attending at a football match/training, ensure you keep a distance of 1.5 metres between yourself and others; Restrict access to changeroom areas to only players, officials and essential staff; If watching football and confined to a small area nearby other people, seek to move around the facility to avoid close contact with others. Hygiene and Behaviour Hygiene Ensure spaces at each facility, surfaces and objects are regularly cleaned with disinfectant; Provide hand washing guidance (http://www.who.int/gpsc/clean_hands_protection/en/); Promote regular and thorough hand washing by staff and participants; Provide sanitising hand rub dispensers in prominent places around the event (particularly entry or high use areas such as a registration desk, change rooms, toilets or kiosk); Make sure hand rub dispensers are regularly refilled. Behaviour Cover mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze; Provide bins and put used tissues in the bin straight away; Wash hands with soap and water often; Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available; Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell; Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.

02.01.2022 With restrictions starting to ease we are hoping to hear some more news about how many kids we can have on our oval by this weekend so we can start training perhaps at start of term 3!!! Due to volunteer numbers and the amount of daylight after school we are still hoping to get ALL of our kids playing on Friday nights as we may struggle to find enough helpers over two separate nights. We will keep you posted and of course there will be some rules that will need to be followed in an attempt to keep us all safe. In the meantime if you have a super super keen soccer player on your hands they may be interested in Murray United who have come and try sessions or term 3 training. See the flyers below and register via the jot forms listed on the flyers. Cheers Kelly

01.01.2022 Well, it was fun while it lasted for our kids to have a little bit of normality. Unfortunately at least for the next 6 weeks there will be no soccer training due to our current state restrictions. We will leave the larger soccer goals on the oval for a little while so that you can go down and play within your family and have a kick. If any child is without a soccer ball feel free to shoot me an email as I’m sure we can arrange one from our shed. Check out https://www.playfootball.com.au//resources/skill-challenges if you are looking to help your own kids with some fun soccer skills. Fingers crossed the sun is shining on some of these home schooling days so we can get out and appreciate the beautiful places in which we live. Take care everyone and stay safe.

01.01.2022 Well, who knows what next week might bring for our club and Victoria. At least we have been able to see some happy faces over the last few weeks. And a massive shout out to those parents who are willing to put up their hands and help out! Especially as some of our regular helpers have had to take a step back due to working within NSW and having to limit their exposure to others. We are so very lucky to live in a gorgeous place and have such a wonderful community around us. I for one in the midst of a pandemic would not want to be anywhere else. Keep an eye on your emails/this Facebook page as I anticipate there could be some changes in the upcoming week. Take care everyone!
