20.01.2022 Plexipave courts all painted and lines finished today, ready for play in a couple of days, great work by everyone helping out, A few long days but we got there. Big thanks to all who helped out, Geoff, Ian, Duane, Paul, Bec, Muz, Lou, Angie and many others. This was a long time coming and driven by Amanda Walker as part of the YTC Strategic Plan, a huge thank you Amanda, courts look great.

19.01.2022 Some players from the Kiewa & Talgarno District Tennis Association Yackandandah section 1 and 2 teams and Tuesday night tennis enjoying a night out. Section 1 have finished top of the ladder and will be playing Talgarno in the semi-finals. They will have revenge on their minds after losing last year’s semi-final to Talgarno. Well done Section 2 for finishing 5th in a season that developed the skills of young emerging and senior players.... The juniors section 3 and 4 ladder positions are still pending.

18.01.2022 Hi tennis lovers, Tennis Victoria has advised all tennis clubs in Victoria to cancel all tennis programs, social play and coaching in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. They have also advised us to close our club facilities until further notice. As an affiliated club with Tennis Victoria, the Yackandandah Tennis Club will comply with these recommendations. Club members and visitors are requested not to access the club facilities until further notice. We will advise you as soon as... the situation changes and we receive the all-clear to start using our club facilities again. 16.01.2022 Yackandandah's Kiewa and Talgarno District Tennis Association (KTDTA) Section 1 team enjoyed a comprehensive win over Tangambalanga (9 set to 0) in the grand final yesterday. Well done to all players on the day and to other players who contributed their efforts throughout the season fantastic result! Thank you also to all the supporters.

11.01.2022 Dear Yackandandah Tennis Club Members, Update: COVID-19 and Tennis The Yackandandah Tennis Club Committee has been liaising with Indigo Shire Council and the Yackandandah Sports Park Committee about resuming tennis in accordance with the Victorian DHHS restrictions and the Tennis Victoria guidelines. ... The good news is that we are able to resume play now the restrictions have been eased. All players will need to observe by the following rules to maintain safe play and abide by ongoing social distancing measures: Any participants experiencing even mild flu-like symptoms or who have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days will be excluded from play Players in high risk health categories are advised to consider their health status before playing Play is limited to a maximum of 10 people at any time Do not share equipment (players bring their own racquets, drink bottles, etc.) Players will wash/sanitise hands before and after play Social distancing will be maintained during play (no handshakes or other direct contact) Only people playing are to be in attendance. No off-court gatherings. Club house can only be accessed to use the toilets It is recommended the court gate be left ajar during play to minimise the need to touch the handle when entering and leaving the courts. We ask that YTC members observe these rules at all times, in the interests of health and safety and to ensure we can continue to play safely. 09.01.2022 Lovely day for tennis yesterday with Yackandandah - KTDTA section 1 and 2 teams playing at our home courts.

09.01.2022 Semi Finals Venues: Section 1 semi- final: to be played at Tallangatta - 1pm 1. Yackandandah v 4. Talgarno 2. Tangam v 3. Granya... Section 2 semi- final: to be played at Tangambalanga - 1pm 1. Mt Beauty v 4. Georges Creek 2. Upper Gundowring v 3. Tallandoon Section 3 semi- final: to be played at Tangambalanga - 9am 1. Mt Beauty v 4. Gundowring North 2. Kiewa v 3. Yackandandah Section 4 semi- final: to be played at Yackandandah - 9am 1. Gundowring North v 4. Yackandandah White 2. Yackandandah Blue v 3. Kiewa Blue Grand Final will be held at Talgarno. Winners of all semi-final matches will play in the grand final. A free BBQ for the players will be provided by the Association. Talgarno will be supplying drinks and a coffee pod, so please support their Club. They will also be supplying some shade sails or if you have your own please bring along as shade is limited. Note: Section 3 & 4 will start at 10 am. If the weather is looking to heat up for Grand Final Day, a decision by the Executive Committee will be made on the Wednesday if start time for section 3&4 needs to be changed. 05.01.2022 Yackandandah's KTDTA section 1 and 2 teams and their families enjoyed a Sunday night out following the conclusion of 2019-20 the season.

04.01.2022 Calling all kids keen to try TENNIS! ANZ Hot Shots Community Play sessions are commencing again in 2020 for new budding young tennis players to have some fun and have a go! The idea is to inspire/ expose/ nurture kids to play tennis (encouraging 5-10 yr olds) and to see if they like it and if so, offer a pathway to help kids develop their skills to go on and play junior competition, etc.... Equipment is provided and cost is $10, which covers the kids for as few or as many sessions that they wish to attend. This is not coaching and parents need to stay, support their child/ren, even have a hit to their child or another’s.
