13.01.2022 Yanco White Suffolks Ram Sale 2020 The ram sale was highly successful with 100% clearance of 45 lots, averaging $1450 and a top of $4350. Many repeat commercial buyers returned, purchasing the bulk of the sale lots. The top priced ram was Lot 2, Yanco 190032, sired by Ella Matta 170300 and in the top 1% of all Terminal sheep in Australia for the LEQ Index (Lamb2020 Eating Quality Index), with excellent growth, muscling and worm resistance (top 10% PWWT, PEMD and PWEC) and goo...d meat eating quality (top 20% IMF and 5% shear force). He was purchased by Max and Trudy Treweek of Echuca, VIC. He was used as a 6 month old ram lamb and his sire was used in the Embryo Transfer program, with progeny currently on the ground that will be available in the 2021 sale. We are hopeful that we will be able to return to hosting the Ram Sale on site in 2021, conducted by the Year 10 Animal Management students as part of their authentic learning program, simulcasting with Auctions Plus. We would like to thank the purchasers and underbidders for their support of the stud and the school. Ellie Quinn | Ram Sale Coordinator

08.01.2022 Student Acknowledgment To the Principal of Yanco Agricultural High School, I’m writing to you from The Hungry Fox Co. in regards to the recent Year 12 Graduation Dinner on Thursday 24th September. After the success of the dinner I would like to nominate the whole Year 11 hospitality group who assisted in the service of this event for a special commendation. The girls who worked were of excellent caliber and should be highly commended for their efforts. Especially Lauren, Izz...y and Abbey who went above and beyond their years and the industry standard. The girls carried themselves well and performed an amazing job. Special thanks to Jenny their teacher who had them all looking well presented and who obviously has given them the knowledge and background skills to perform in the industry. We look forward to being able to collaborate on any other hospitality projects that could help the better the students understanding and open their eyes to the industry further. See more
