25.01.2022 Hello Bombers, the Central Gippsland Junior Footy League have organised a summer program for kids who are super keen footy players. 25.01.2022 2020 SEASON CLOSURE Tonight our league executive recommended to our clubs that the entire Central Gippsland Junior Football League competition be cancelled for... the remainder of the 2020 season. With that clubs voted and it was passed that the season be closed for 2020. The recommendation has taken time as we wanted to give the best possible chance for a return to play this season. In light of worsening COVID 19 conditions through our state over recent weeks, we feel the risks involved in playing a competition now far outweigh the benefits for the children and parents/carers in our clubs. We know this is disappointing particularly for those children who were looking to return to play this weekend, however I guess a good point at this time is the phrase, Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. We thank all coaches, players, members, volunteers and committees for sticking with their clubs and trying to get things going for their children during this time. 24.01.2022 Yallourn North Junior Footy 2020 season will not go ahead. This was a difficult decision, knowing many kids will miss all the fun footy brings. It is most important that we stay safe during this time. Backyard kick to kick and watching games on the TV will have to do for now....

22.01.2022 Unfortunately all training sessions are cancelled until further notice. This includes our Baby Bombers program too. As part of this meeting we will be electing Committee Members for next season. Without parents, carers & volunteers pitching in, our small community club couldn’t operate. If an official role is too much to take on, we still require General Committee Members & volunteers. Any contribution, no matter how big or small is appreciated & will... ensure we are able to keep our club running. **PLEASE NOTE - Due to social distancing & indoor capacity limits, if you are going to attend the meeting, we ask that you RSVP as Going so we can put in place the necessary requirements.

17.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT: Last Monday night, League Executive based on the feedback from all CGJFL clubs met and voted in favour of a change to all age groups. Although no...t unanimous there was a very clear majority in support of the decision that follows the lead of the TDJFL, SDJFL and is in line with AFL Victoria proposed changes as part of recommendations in the G25 report. From 2021, the CGJFL will consist of u9s, u11s, u13s, u15s and Youth Girls. This is an exciting step forward for the CGJFL and a change that will hopefully see longevity and sustainability of children in our great game. 15.01.2022 The purpose of this memo is to provide an update regarding the 2020 CGJFL season and the Government’s Emergency Response Plan in relation to the ongoing situati...on with Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The CGJFL is making the call now to suspend all training for clubs, umpires and all other league programs, including practice matches, academy training sessions, and social gathering events, to be effective immediately, until further notice. The league’s main priority remains the health and wellbeing of all players, coaches, umpires and volunteers of the league. The league strongly believes that the suspension of these gatherings will minimise the risks posed to all within our league. The league understands that this is a difficult time for all, but remain confident that we will endure the current circumstances if the CGJFL sticks together as a community. Round One of the CGJFL is presently scheduled for Sunday 26th April 2020 will be postponed until Sunday May 31st as recommended by AFL Victoria. The league is hopeful that the season will be able to proceed, but are preparing to take necessary precautions as we are advised by the Australian Government and the AFL. The CGJFL will continue to keep all Club Presidents up-to-date as information becomes available. It is crucial for Club Presidents to maintain close communication with the league to inform of the measures and precautions being taken at your club, and for any support that your club may require from the league. We look forward to discussing further action and measures with Club Presidents as details change. The league will inform Club Presidents in the coming days regarding instructions to access the Club Conference. Again, we thank you for your patience and understanding at this difficult time. Without enough interest & people willing to contribute to the behind the scenes side of things, the future of our club hangs in the balance. 04.01.2022 BABY BOMBERS We will be running our Baby Bombers program again this season. If you have a child between the ages of 3 & 7 they are eligible to take part. Sessions will run for 30 minutes on Thursday afternoons from 4:00pm. The program will run for the entirety of Term 2, with kick off on the 16th of April.... To register your child/ren for the program, simply come down to our club rooms at McGregor Reserve on either Tuesday the 17th or Thursday the 19th of March between 3:30pm - 5:30pm & fill out a registration form. The fee for our 11 week program is $40 per child, which is payable before the program commencement date. Details on how to pay will be available on our registration afternoon.

03.01.2022 Yallourn North Urban Fire Brigade is pleased to announce that this years Santa run will go ahead. This will be a non contact event and is subject to change on a...dvice from the Victorian Government. We will keep you informed of any change. Again we would like to thank local grown company EcoClean for their support in making the lolly run possible.

We will have representatives at the Yallourn North Primary School Christmas Showcase this Friday night between 5-7pm.
