At 2:15 pm today it was exactly 50 years since Australia first heard the songs and melodies of our famous Junior Music Course and to celebrate we sat down with a very special person to hear about that very first lesson and what teaching with Yamaha Music Education was like all those years ago.... Ros McMillan (AM) was the very first person to teach with Yamaha Music Education and taught our first group of young musicians all those years ago. Ros has gone on to be the Head of Music Education at the University of Melbourne and delivered education workshops all over the globe. Ros graduates fill Australias schools, gig venues and concert halls. We are incredibly proud to have been able to share some time with Ros and hear her story. 06.01.2022 We are excited to share that, on Sunday the 1st of November, the first of our annual concerts will be held at St. Stephens School in Duncraig, WA. We also are excited to announce that, for our VIC and NSW families, despite the challenges with COVID-19 Restrictions, we will still be hosting concerts this year but these will be held online via YouTube Live. With the recent restrictions in place for all our metro Melbourne schools, we will be commencing semester 2 group keyboard classes online via the platform Zoom the week of the 3rd of August. ...
