20.01.2022 hey guys you may have noticed I have been absent from the FB for the last 5 or 6 weeks A lot has been going on in that time I am now no longer the owner/operato...r of Reeltime Charters, Yamba Whale Watch, Yamba BBQ Boat hire & Marina Boat & tackle. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the amazing customers/friends that have made the last 13 years of running fishing charters and all the other things so enjoyable. You guys have been fantastic with your loyalty, kindness and friendship as well as allowing me to make a living out of something I love. I know I will see most of you in the future and have a chance to thank you personally. I will miss you all Dave I See more

12.01.2022 Hey Guys I regret to inform you all that as of today Friday 27th March Reeltime Charters will be suspending all deep sea fishing charters until the Coronavirus ...pandemic is deemed safe. This is not a decision I have taken lightly, but I feel it is the only safe decision that can be made at this time. Regardless of the law and Insurance complications involved in running events with mixed groups, I cannot put my staff and customers at risk just for a day out fishing. I know most of you will fully understand this decision and I will keep you informed as to when we will be able to safely operate again. As always thank you for your support of my business over the last 13 years, we will be back and good times will be had again. Regards Dave See more

10.01.2022 Hey guys Whales are here! Some good news... Looks like we may be able to get back to work all be it in a limited way from this Friday. Things will be a bit different with the social distancing regulations still very much in play The conditions as we understand them are: As we are an outdoor operation the following will be the way forward in the foreseeable future 1.5m spacings between customers on the open decks of the boats. With our boats all having between 3.6 and 4m beams and 6m deck length at this stage we will be limited to 8 punters per boat allowing for the skipper (who comes into total numbers) to be on deck Seating is a requirement for all charter vessels but the 1.5m spacing applies to this as well, so seating around our boats will be clearly marked at the required spacings No customers to be allowed inside the cabin area, this comes under the indoor 4m2 spacing and once a skipper is there it doesnt allow for anyone else. We are fortunate to have all our toilets on the top deck otherwise they would not be able to be used and hand sanitiser dispensers will be fitted to all boats If you need any more information, please call and we look forward to seeing you soon Dave.

04.01.2022 Hey guys Exciting news, we have new part owners of our ever expanding businesses at Yamba Marina John & Lynette Fabian are now partners in Marina Boat & Tackle, Reeltime Charters, Yamba Whale Watch & Ocean Adventures and Yamba BBQ Boat Hire. John and Lynette have been in Yamba for a while now and are former owners of the Pegasus Motel.... John is a very keen fisherman and has a real passion for what we do and I am sure he will be a great fit. Call down and say hi when you can. As you may know we have been grounded with the fishing charters, whale watching and hire boats with this Covid 19 pandemic lockdown. Talk is it may be September though we are quietly confident we will be back sooner. In the down time we have been working everyday on the boats and by the time we get back on the water they will have all been almost completely refitted and in pristine condition for your comfort. We will keep you all updated as to when restrictions lift for us and I would like to thank all of those who have already made huge full week bookings for when we are back See more

01.01.2022 hey guys Currently working through social distancing laws, which are apparently very enforceable. the following 3 pictures are of our 3 charter boat layouts we ...currently understand we will not be allowing customers into the cabin area of the boats at all we are fortunate that our toilets are all outside the cabin on the back decks with external doors. if they were inside the cabin area we would not be able to let the customers access them. if we are allowed the 1 person on deck at 1.5m spacings then we can still cater for up to 9 people on each boat with large back decks if we find out we are required to have a minimum of 4m2 per person (this is the indoors rule, hard to believe in an outdoor situation, but very possible) then our numbers will be greatly reduced. i cant see them giving us an extra person for less than 4m2 so Avalanche & Odin will be 4 people Silver Star 5 people. all this is to be confirmed but the 1.5m law is here now and no access to cabin is here now from information i have. we are monitoring changes as they come and will do the best to keep you informed thank you once again for your continued support it is greatly appreciated Dave
