Lisa is a PT specialising in mental health and sports specific training such as; golf, netball, soccer and basketball. Current Promotion: 3 sessions for $80 for the first month ... "To tell you a little about my journey, 2.5years ago I stumbled into Personal Training after a 65kg weight loss transformation and after suffering from a spinal injury. I have a strong passion and belief that diet, exercise and vitamin D are the most under utilised antidepressant on the market. As a personal trainer i take the word personal serious and plan training sessions to suit each individuals needs. I believe that when our mind is happy and healthy we are more inclined to fuel our bodies with healthier foods. 19.01.2022 WOOHOO Were back to 24 hour access at both the Clinton and South Gladstone gyms and we cant wait to welcome you all back. We would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the staff that helped with the extra cleaning and extended opening hours during the past month. We truly appreciate you all! There a few things we will need to keep in mind:... Remember your card - you will need to swipe in for entry Please keep social distancing - 1 point 5, to stay alive! Keep wiping down the equipment Remember your towel - if you need to hire one at Clinton, please see us at reception Please bring a water bottle with you - the fountains will be available Showers, change room facilities and saunas are now available for use No capacity limits - we need to maintain enough room for 1 in 4sqm Childminding facilities will remain at a max of 10 children so that we can continue to adhere to the 1 in 4sqm rule. If you would like to enquire about numbers before your visit, please call 4979 8295. Thank you to all of our group fitness participants that have adapted to our booking system. If you currently have a booking for next week, that will be honoured however, you will no longer need to book from today. Walk ins and casuals welcome. 16.01.2022 We are so excited to hear the news of Stage 3 easing of restrictions! We are waiting for the Industry Approved COVID-Safe plan to be put in place and are waiting on clarification on a few things like 24 hour access. We currently expect the information to be available to us by late Thursday or early Friday. Once we have received the plan from QLD Health, we will post on our socials and websites. We ask that you please hold any questions in regards to the easing of restrictions until we have had further directive from QLD Health and we thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.

Be sure to remember these cues when performing your deadlifts:... * Ensure shoulders are directly over the bar, keep an open chest and engage the lats * Keep the bar directly over the midline of your foot (where your shoe laces would be) * Keep the bar close to your shins * Breathe in deeply, brace the core and take the slack out of the bar * Pull hips down and push the floor away as you come to the top of the movement * Return to the initial position and reset your grip if needed Maintain a neutral spine throughout the whole movement to avoid injuries

03.01.2022 Form Check Friday - Hip Thrusts! This week Steph from Glow Health and Fitness is helping us bring you some technique tips for your hip thrusts! See our tips below ... - Push through your heels, doing so shifts the muscle activation away from the quads and onto the glutes and hamstrings - Shins at a 90* angle to maximize glute activation and avoid firing up your quads or hamstrings - Keep the ribs down and core braced to prevent spinal hyperextension and maximise glute activation - Keeping the chin tucked/looking forward encourages a posterior pelvic tilt and prevents lumbar hyperextension See you next Friday for more tips!
