16.01.2022 With the further easing of restrictions announced earlier this week YGTC have received approval from the Yarra Ranges Council to increase the number of players at the venue. The guidelines now permit: Competition Tennis to recommence... Maximum of 10 players on Courts 2, 3 and 4 A further 4 players on Court 1 Eastern Region Tennis (weekend matches) will recommence on the 28th November 2020 whilst Ferntree Gully & District Mid Week Ladies and the Lilydale & District Night Competitions will not recommence til February next year. The increase in numbers will also allow the adult, junior boys and girls training and cardio sessions to recommence and Jarron will be in touch with those who are regular attendees. If you have not previously participated in these but are interested please PM us for the details. Of course, please continue to adhere to the usual ongoing COVID requirements in relation to social distancing, hygiene and equipment etc - an updated list of these requirements will be forwarded to Members. Most importantly, anyone entering the Club for any reason MUST check in using the QR Code at the gate.

06.01.2022 **AGM POSTPONED** Given the further easing of restrictions the Annual General Meeting of the Yarra Glen Tennis Club is postponed in anticipation of being able to hold it at the Club (rather than via Zoom) in a couple of weeks. Further information will follow.

03.01.2022 ++ MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK++ The AGM for the YGTC is being held on the 10th November 2020 and nominations for the Committe close at 5:00 pm on 9th November 2020. See Events for the Details. There are a number of Committee members who are not seeking re-election and/or looking to reduce their roles for various personal reasons, so we are keen to hear from anyone who would be interested in a role at the Club - big or small.... There are heaps of options including, taking on one of the Office Bearer roles, assisting one of the Office Bearers (i.e. Assistant Treasurer), joining a focused Sub-Committee (i.e. Fundraising or Maintenance etc), assisting with one off projects or taking on a small routine task on a regular basis. We are confident we have the perfect role to suit individual interests, time restrictions, age and skill levels. We are also keen to have some new faces with fresh ideas. If you have any interest, please PM us or contact Scheryl on 0417 528 704.
