11.01.2022 Update: 20/10/2020 Well we all had some hopes that we could resume flight training but as the Victorian Premier announced on 18/10/2020, there was no indication of resuming flight training. This means that we will all have to be stay put and stay safe and hopefully Victorian Premier will announce the go ahead to resume flight training and flight operations from November 2nd.... In the meantime, Its best to make sure you have: - Reviewed all your paperwork and licence requirements, - Have your medical up to date, - If you require flight review then discuss with your instructor, - Self check - Are you competent to fly.

09.01.2022 Exemptions and relief measures: COVID-19 25 September 2020 CASA is extending some of its COVID support in the light of the pandemic’s continued impact on the aviation industry:... - Medical certification extended to up to 12 months for domestic operations (previously up to six months). - Flight review and proficiency check alleviation extended to 31 March 2021 from December 2020 but still limited to a maximum period of three months. - Aerial application rating proficiency checks simplified to apply to aeroplane and helicopter operations without a safety risk mitigation plan. - Examiner proficiency checks extended to up to six months to 31 March 2021. Also, an alternative ground-based check can be completed to extend your exemption up to 31 March 2021. There is no change being made to cases where operators have a Safety Risk Mitigation Plan. 05.01.2022 We have been receiving alot of enquiries in regards to if we are operating during Stage 3 lockdown. As per the DHHS, Recreational flying including pilot training is still allowed as long as the Health and Safety precautions are followed as mentioned.
