18.01.2022 The Queensland Government has made changes to COVID-19 restrictions which took effect from 4:00pm, Friday 16 October 2020. The changes announced on Friday were...: Gatherings: Up to 40 people can gather in homes and public spaces across Queensland. Weddings: Up to 40 people can dance at any one time at a wedding with a COVID Safe Plan. Year 12 formals: Dancing is permitted at Year 12 formals. Aged care: Resident excursions are now permitted. 16.01.2022 The Art Precinct would like to pay a special tribute to the late Eric Orcher. Eric was a valuable part of the team, a true leader who led from behind and a gifted Artist who was well recognised within the Art Sector on a National platform and also a respected Artist within the community, whose legacy will live on. Eric’s artwork was involved in numerous exhibitions, including: Artist of the North at the Tanks Art Centre in Cairns, CIAF 2018-2019, Jabu Birriny Touring Exhibit...ion in Qld, the Endeavour Voyage: The Untold Stories of Cook and the First Australians at the National Museum of Australia in Canberra, and Belonging at the National Museum of Australia in Canberra. Eric was passionate about sharing his culture through his artwork and will be truly missed. Our deepest condolences to all the Families and the to the Families involved in this tragedy.
