25.01.2022 WOW!! 47 students met Maestro Joshi, Maestro Stefano and Maestro Glenn at the Yarralumla Yacht Club this morning for Ride to School Day. It was an amazing turnout!! Thanks to our fabulous teachers for riding with our students, as well as some of our parents who joined in for the ride!

22.01.2022 Over the last week our IT executive teacher maestra Meyer with the assistance of Janelle has engraved, cleared, cleaned and organised our computers and iPads. Today we saw many happy faces as families came in to sign out equipment to help them support our students through online learning. We feel very lucky to have the expertise of our executive teachers in all things IT and know you’ll all be impressed with the terrific lessons being created by our up skilled teachers. 22.01.2022 Happy Tuesday! Today another very exciting thing happened... the lovely and talented Lisa Kalma and Bear With Us productions have given Deb the Deputy permission to read My Llama Drama. Lisa even wrote us a note. Happy listening!
22.01.2022 After a wet and indoor Friday we hope you all get some outdoor time this weekend. Keep an eye out in the coming week for our school satisfaction survey. This survey is sent out at this time every year from all schools in the ACT and is completed by students from years 4-12, staff and parents/carers.
22.01.2022 Our lucky Year 5/6 students had the opportunity to hear about digital technology and robotics in the real world today from some special guests The listened to a presentation about how automation and robots help us to do daily tasks and then had the opportunity to ask a real robot named ‘Delvi’ some questions!
21.01.2022 Hello and Happy Wednesday!!! Deb the Deputy had a visit today from Matt Morrissey who wrote The Social Chef and The Case of the Missing Lemons. Matt gave us his fantastic book and his publishers Forty South Publishing have given their permission for us to read it to you. The illustrations by Raisa Cross are beautiful. Deputy Deb filmed this in her front garden and even though she missed a sentence she didn’t go back because her film crew was being eaten alive by mozzies. Such dedication to his task Enjoy this book and the recipes Matt has shared.

12.01.2022 Kindergarten had an awesome time exploring the National Botanic Gardens today. They learnt about the habitats of lots of different animals. Along the way they also spotted different animals such as bees, birds, water dragons, tadpoles, worms and even a brown snake! Thanks to our fabulous Kinder teachers for organising a fun excursion!
11.01.2022 Book week Parade Day!!! Thank you so much to our amazing community for the excitement created with costumes. Our parade was testament to the creativity of families and students with some truly spectacular characters. We would love to show you all of the students but sadly in this platform we are not comfortable - so please enjoy Miss Honey, The Trunchbull and Matilda from the book of the same name.

10.01.2022 Reminder: our book week dress up day is tomorrow!!!! Please help your excited student(s) dress up as a character from a book. They are welcome to bring the book to share with their class. There will be a parade at 9:20am in the COLA. If you would like to attend, you will need to follow social distancing requirements of 1 adult per 2m unless you are a family group and then each group needs to remain apart. Teachers will also be joining in the fun and dressing in themes as teaching/leadership teams. See you socially distanced tomorrow.

07.01.2022 The Year 5 band visited Mawson Primary School last week to participate in a combined band rehearsal. This was their first combined rehearsal and opportunity to play their instruments as a part of a large wood wind band. Thanks maestra Kirsty for organising these wonderful musical opportunities for our students
07.01.2022 It is ‘Ride to School’ week once again!! On Friday 30th of October our teachers will be leading another bike ride to school from the Yarralumla Yacht Club - if your child would like to join them please meet the teachers in the carpark at 8:20am for an 8:30am departure. Scooters are welcome and helmets are essential! If walking is more your style, Senora Sayers will also be leading a walk from the Yarralumla Shops on this day - please meet her at 8:30am for an 8:40am departure. 07.01.2022 Happy Friday everyone!!! We have almost made it through our first week of term 2 and hasn’t it been a change from what term 2 would normally look like! We have got most of our amazing students working from home along with their teachers but we also have nearly 50 students at Red Hill Primary School, 1 at Charles Weston School and 1 at Amaroo School. This week we have also had students doing their programs here whilst they waited for their spots at a safe supportive school site. It has been a steep learning curve for all and we thank everyone for their patience, resilience and kindness. I thought you might want to come for a walk with me this morning....

Pay on quickweb or via EFT at front office. Not only will we be helping the preschool but we will also be providing support to the farmers who raise these delicious signals of a summer to come.
06.01.2022 In the last fortnight our Year 3-6 students visited Birrigai for a ‘day-camp’ All of the students had a great time in the bush learning about our local indigenous culture, the gold rush, bushfires and Australian wildlife. Thanks to the senior teachers who attended and supported our students!

01.01.2022 COFFEE!!!! As part of the preschool settings Father’s Day stay and play event next Tuesday 1st September, there will be a coffee van. From 8:15am until we stop buying. Essentially for the preschool Dads but really...coffee. So let’s help make this wonderful van driving human some money by getting behind this lovely visit.
