25.01.2022 LOCK DOWN VANDALISM Over the weekend our hockey nets were vandalised. The facility is a Banyule City Council public space. We have had reports of large groups of people utilising the pitch and disobeying Stage 4 lockdown regulations. YVHC are not responsible for these individuals. If you are near the club and witness persons disobeying COVID regulations please notify the police. Thank you.

09.01.2022 Yarra Valley Hockey Club: 42nd Annual General Meeting. 26th November. 7pm Please be advised that the timing for YVHC AGM is Thursday, 26 November, 7 pm by Zoom. As is allowed in our constitution. See the agenda for more details.... Because this will be a virtual meeting we need members to register intention to participate using the website form. The relevant reports and zoom link will only be provided to members or their guardians who complete this registration form. Please register prior and join this important Zoom meeting to ensure you have input into the running of your club. If you are interested in joining the General Committee, the nomination form is attached with the agenda and should be submitted ahead of the meeting. The proxy voting form is also included there. If you cannot make it to the agm this allows you to nominate another member (or default to current President) to vote at the meeting. I am very pleased to advise that we do have a nomination for President, as I am stepping down at this agm. There are two further vacancies available for members to join the General Committee and have real influence on the running of our club. I would be happy to discuss with anyone interested in joining the GC. Administration off field is critical in the ongoing success of our hockey club, especially in a Covid normal situation. 02.01.2022 YVHC COVID SAFE PLAN: UPDATE-: for visitors and players Contact sport training and competition has resumed Competitive training is allowed, including practice matches. Players and officials may enter and exit the pitch through the same gate, although both gates shall be opened for access.... Prior and after each training session, all players and officials entering the pitch will be required to hand sanitise (located at the gate) and wear a face mask (over 12 years), If in crowded or confined spaces. Carry a face mask at all times. Face Masks must be worn in club rooms when not eating and drinking People 18 years and under can train and compete without any limit on the number of participants if all participants are 18 years and under. Gathering limits of up to 50 people per group will apply to participants and those reasonably necessary to conduct the training or competition (e.g. umpires, coaches). There will be staggered training start times in particular when a group of people over the age of 18 is training on the same day (although this will not occur at YVHC). A person may participate in more than one training session per day providing that they change their clothes, sanitise their equipment and wash their hands. Players and officials will be may be required to register on-line via a google sheet (Appendix to attend training sessions and will need to provide their full name and phone number. Players will be marked off for each training so it can be tracked who has attended training. All players, officials are required to register their attendance by scanning the QR code displayed at the entry gate(s). Spectators are encouraged to also register using this method. The player change rooms will only be open for use of the toilets. Liquid hand rinse and paper towelling will be available in the toilets. (The showers will not be available for use) Where the upstairs club rooms and bar are opened patrons shall be limited to 1 person per 4 square meters, and payments shall be made via eftpos. Any person entering the clubrooms and bar must register via the QR code displayed at the entrance. When the canteen is open patrons are required to follow markings on the ground to maintain social distance while queuing or being served and payments shall be made via eftpos. Where food is being served the person(s) serving the food shall deliver all condiments to reduce the number of people handling foods. For examples; if a sausage sizzle is being served sauce will be applied by the person serving, or sugar added to coffee by the person serving not the customer. In the interests of safe hygiene, the water tap and water fountain will not be available for use at all. Hand Sanitiser (70% ethanol) to be made available at the following points: Entrances / exits to the pitch and toilets. -

02.01.2022 We’re back! With the lockdown ending at 11:59pm tonight, all Hockey Activities can resume on Thursday, 18 Feb. Some restrictions (masks) remain in place and we encourage all our members to put a mask on when not performing activity on the pitch.... Use the barcode check-in system when you arrive. Use the hand sanitiser - located on the gates, when you go on and off the pitch. Wash hands frequently with warm soapy water in the bathrooms.
