Respect Victoria’s Respect Women: Call It Out campaign seeks to align with the timing of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence as recognition that this is an important period of the year to be actively focusing on violence against women. It is everyone’s job to address language, attitudes and behaviours that en...dorse violence and disrespect towards women. For the next 16 days we will promote ways in which Respect can be shown in the home, the workplace and the community. Nominations are currently being received for the Yarriambiack Shire Council Australia Day awards for the two categories: Citizen of the Year Young Citizen of the Year... Nominations to be received by 1 December 2020- next week!! You can access a nomination form by calling the office on (03) 5398 0100 or by visiting our website https://yarriambiack.vic.gov.au/community-ev/australia-day/. Awards will be awarded at designated Australia Day events throughout the Yarriambiack Shire Council on 26 January 2021. 09.01.2022 The Respect Women: ‘Call It Out’ Campaign aims to support the Victorian community to unpack what respect means, what it looks like, and how to put it into practice in homes, relationships, workplaces, friendships and communities. Respect sits at the core of all safe, healthy and equal relationships. Council is a proud advocate for Respect Victoria and the 16 Days of Activism Campaign. Each day during the campaign we will be promoting examples of what respect looks like in the home, in the community and the workplace.
