25.01.2022 Tonight we adopted the Budget for 2020-2021. It has been a lengthy process and we have always kept in mind the needs of our community in the current climate. The budget provides relief and support for people in the community as well as some stimulus for business.

22.01.2022 Today Malayali Association of Perth thanked frontline workers in the fight against Covid in Perth and around the world. I was told at the event that the current committee includes 90% female members. I was pleased to meet my friend Cr Shanavas Peter from City of Armadale.

21.01.2022 The opening of the newly redeveloped and refurbished Willetton Basketball Stadium returns a great asset for our local community. As a parent whose son played, refereed and supervised at the stadium over many years, I am very happy to see it so beautifully modernised and improved. 20.01.2022 After six months the Tamil congregation has been able to meet again to celebrate the mass at Willeton Catholic Parish Saints John & Paul Church this evening. After the isolation caused by covid restrictions everyone were overjoyed to meet again.

I was very pleased to see my friends Senior Constable Sam Lim , Inspector Don Emmanuel-Smith and many friends from Chinese community.... This week Sam Lim received an award for his Exemplary services and dedication for CALD community. 19.01.2022 It was ladies day at my football club, Wileltton Football Club. I was honoured to toss the coin at league game. This years ladies day was a great success, twice as many attendance as last year.... Congratulations and thanks to Perry Klepp and rest of the club management for their work in keeping our community connected and involved through football. I was pleased to see Dr Jags Krishnan at the game. #WFC
19.01.2022 The Western Australia Shenzhen Association hosted a wonderful Gala Ball with the theme of overcoming adversity in 2020. I was privileged to be invited to attend and very happy indeed to meet with their new committee led by President Simom Wu. I convey my best wishes to them for the future. I look forward to being able to work with them in the community
19.01.2022 I caught up with Kelda and Angie at Zonta House this morning. Zonta team has been working hard dealing with domestic violence cases during the Covid pandemic. Zonta House has recently received an award from impact 100 WA to expand its programs.... I am sad to see Angie leaving Zonta but am very happy for her in her new role.

The Wharf Street Basin project has reimagined an inaccessible Water Corporation stormwater drain to deliver a park of the future. It will be a new, multifunctional, public smart park, providing green space for people to relax, a habitat for wildlife and an education space for the community.

14.01.2022 It was the Canning Arts Centre’s awards of excellence this evening at Riverton Library. I was privileged to present some of the awards to the very talented artists. I was joined by Hon Bill Johnston and my fellow councillors Cr Sara Saberi and Cr Amanda Spencer Teo.... My congratulations to the arts group for being able to keep operating through the pandemic. The arts in all their forms are a very important part of what keeps our community together. My thanks to Robin and the committee for inviting me.

11.01.2022 I was really excited and very very proud to see the Willetton Tigers back playing in their newly refurbished stadium. First West Coast Classic (a shorter, pared down SBL-style tournament game was played tonight. It was great to be with President Phil Nixon, the team coaches and the womens team captain Desiree Kelly.... The new stadium has been achieved with the assistance of all three tiers of government. #Willetton Basketball Stadium #Willetton Tigers

02.01.2022 PERSISTENCE pays off !!! Orana Catholic Primary Schools students now have more safety in crossing Vahland Avenue with the instituting of a 40 kmh zone. It has taken at least two years but finally the school and its students have been successful.... I received an email from a year 5 student Liliana in 2018. I visited the school and spoke with the principal and we kept working together with council traffic engineers and main roads to arrive at a solution. I believe in the Travel Smart program to get children walking and riding to school. The program can not operate without safe streets and this makes it possible. 40School Zone
