18.01.2022 Hello everyone, I had a great day today! Today I attended another #EMMETT Technique training day with a very knowledgeable teacher (Michelle, thanks for today!) and a wonderful bunch of other students. ... As mentioned previously, EMMETT is a gentle muscle release technique. This weekend we are getting through Module 3. Today we revisited Module 2 and how to gently & effectively release the following muscles: Psoas, Iliacus, Obliques, Piriformis/ Tensor Fascia Lata, QL, Gastrocnemius, Upper Traps, AC, Bicep, Rhomboid, Lavator Scapula. Yes, it was a big day! It was very beneficial to revisit those techniques, just to make sure we get it a 100% right for the people we are treating. I am feeling a bit exhausted now but definitely still amazed of what such a gentle technique can achieve within a short period of time. 16.01.2022 A different perspective I just attended a 60minute hot yoga session at #thestudio in Joondalup. When entering the studio I was wearing a mask as required currently. The two yoga instructors at the Reception Desk greeted me with complimenting me on my mask. I must have looked a little bit surprised because they added ‘we usually check out people’s yoga pants but currently we look at peoples mask instead and yours looks really nice’.... So, instead of complaining about the current Covid situation and having to wear masks they shifted their perspective and made it sound normal and even gave me a compliment which made me smile I enjoyed this little encounter this morning because it just showed me again that it is up to us how we look at and deal with our situations in life So, put your best looking mask on and feel beautiful today! 13.01.2022 YES! I finished Module 4 in the EMMETT Technique yesterday. The amazement doesn’t stop how gentle and equally powerful it is! I felt the newly learned leg release travelling up throughout my upper body...how interesting. It all comes back to everything is connected in your body!... The newly learned techniques were Abdominal release, Knee pain release, Leg release, Hamstrings, Latissimus Dorsi, Pectoralis Minor Release, Biceps 2 Heads, Triceps, Scapula - Mid and Lower and Scapula Border. If I had to pick one favourite technique it would be the Abdominal release. It can assist with tight abdominals, abdominal pain, pubic pain, back pain, bowel issues, body posture pulled forward, restricted breathing and Psoas assist. Wow!
