10.01.2022 2020 has been one heck of a year! Our hearts go out to everyone that are now having to deal with yet another setback.

09.01.2022 The 2019/20 bush fire season devastated Australian rural, regional and remote communities. The COVID-19 pandemic then detracted attention away from the crucial ...recovery effort. While it's been a tough year for everyone, we know it's been especially tough for our fire-affected communities - particularly the kids. We've been talking to kids in communities across the Riverina, South Coast and regional Victoria, and what they have really missed during the school holidays, particularly during those long weeks of lockdown, was their book collections. So, this Christmas, Books for the Bush would like to provide as many bush fire affected children as we can with book vouchers and book packs. We need your help to make this happen. To donate, please click here: https://chuffed.org/pro/books-for-the-bush-christmas-appeal Or, if you'd prefer to contribute in another way, just message us to arrange that! If you're from a bush fire affected community, and your kids, or the kids of someone you know, would appreciate this gift under the Christmas tree this year, please just fill out this form, and we'll try our very best to make it happen! https://forms.gle/i3dJ5n6yiDbKKqko6

08.01.2022 <3 May the kindness continue to rain down to those who need it!

08.01.2022 Some wise words to keep in mind when travelling to bushfire affected areas. The topic is still raw and a lot of people still find it hard to talk about, especially with people they don't know. Whilst your intentions may be good in asking questions about the fires, please remember that people are still grieving their losses and struggling to come to terms with what has happened, particularly as we start approaching 12 month anniversaries etc.

07.01.2022 A landslide on the Brown Mountain has blocked the Snowy Mountains Highway Trees and boulders have fallen south of the Fred Piper Memorial Lookout, and traffic is stopped. : Kate Aubrey

05.01.2022 Lest we forget.

05.01.2022 On this day last year NSW recorded 17 concurrent Emergency Warnings. Communities in the Blue Mountains, Clarence Valley, Richmond Valley, Walcha, Armidale, Namb...ucca, Kempsey, Tenterfield, and the Mid Coast were all being impacted by fire. At 6pm 94 fires were burning across the state. While the losses on that day were significant they could have been far worse were it not for the extraordinary efforts of firefighters and community members. See more

02.01.2022 We urge everyone to get on board with this great initiative! It might be the difference between saving houses and/or lives, or not.
