20.01.2022 YBE carried out strategic weed management of grass weed species such as Gamba Grass and Perennial Mission Grass on the Point Stuart (Shady Camp) Road. The risk of Gamba Grass spreading in to Kakadu is very real and we are committed to preventing the spread of road corridors.

19.01.2022 Watch & Act - BUSHFIRE Humpty Doo and Girraween Residents in the area of Humpty Doo and Girraween are advised of the current WATCH & ACT level fire warning. A... fast moving bushfire is currently threatening properties near the golf course. The following roads are affected by this fast moving bushfire: Corral Road Humpty Doo Pioneer Drive Humpty Doo Woodcoat Crescent Girraween Anglesey Road Girraween Produce Road - Girraween Residents are advised to start activating their fire plans, turn on sprinklers, close any windows, contain pets and monitor conditions. Aerial fire fighting assets will be in the area. People are advised to avoid the area where possible, limit any unnecessary travel and not operate drones in the area. 18.01.2022 WE LOVE WHAT WE DO YBE NT carryout Land Management Activities with the Fish River Rangers including Feral Animal Control, Weed Management, Visitor Management, running of the properties infrastructure including all machinery and vehicle assets, power and water and many other tasks as need be. The property of FISH RIVER is owned by the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation and is over 100,000 ha’s. It was selected for its high conservation and its Carbon Farming potential.... The property ranges from escarpment country, spring feed creeks, billabongs, floodplains and the Daly River. There are thousands of Wild cattle and Buffalo’s on the property that are in the process of getting mustered.

06.01.2022 Employee of the month Our operations officer, Eden Duim takes home this months Employee of the Month award. Being an experienced Operations Administrator with a demonstrated history of working in the environmental services industry, has placed Eden with exceptional skills with the awareness of internal and external customer needs. Eden has made a very big move/transition from YBE (2) Pty Ltd in Gove last year, moving across to Darwin and now working within our YBE Group Administration Team in Darwin. Eden is our Groups Operations Administration Officer that works and supports the YBE Group’s day to day Front Line Operational Staff and Departments and has made the transition across a very smooth one and she is a quiet achiever that is ready to help at any time. Eden is a very loyal and dedicated employee to the YBE Group.

Cathy has taken full ownership of our COVID-19 Safety Plan for our 3 operating entities and ensured this was completed in time by putting in extra hours and working on her days off to meet the deadline. Cathy's can-do attitude is muchly appreciated by the team at YBE, no matter what task she is allocated, it is taken on board and rolled out.
