16.01.2022 Ode to Yeeda Station Four shielas from the big smoke arrived at Yeeda Station They worked in tourism and visited to get an explanation About a wonderful new Kimberley tourism venture - a new place to explore... Its a working pastoral station with heifers, steers, calves and more The girls turned up for a delicious Sunday lunch, washed down with a mango beer Then old Pete took them to Yeeda Creek and told them not to fear No Crocs, he said. By crickey he was lying through his teeth Young Aimie yelled theres one. While Dawne cried out good grief After all the excitement, it was time for the girls to take a dip Floating in the cool pool with a ginger beer to sip A feast was being prepared to ensure we were all well fed What an amazing dinner was severed before we hit our bed The bright Southern Cross lit up the night sky as insects played a song It was time to retire to our comfy tents and sleep soundly all night long We were up bright and early for an adventure to the river cutting Andy drove while the boys worked hard to stop the trees head butting Pete tried hard, but alas the morning tour wasnt meant to be So back to the homestead we drove at pace for a cup of piping hot tea Peter, Lorraine, Jacqui, Dave, Patrice and Chantelle Thank you for your kind hospitality during our Yeeda Station stay A memory we will share with others to help them find their way to Yeeda Station some day.
