22.01.2022 Did you know sugary sweets cause dental decay in over 50% of Australian children? When packing the kids school lunch box just remember the 5 rule! 1. Avoid sticky, gummy, chewy and sweet foods!... 2. Avoid putting heaps into the lunch box. You dont want them grazing throughout the day! 3. Limit fruit to two servings a day! 4. Lots of water! You can never have too much water and it helps washing lingering foods away! 5. Be selective with snacks. Veggies, cheese and lean meats are a great alternative snack! But most important, just remember to maintain regular visits with the dentist! Every 6 months children should have a check done to make sure the teeth and gums are healthy.
