15.01.2022 Have you heard of Shakafest yet? No? Well it's a rad skateboarding music festival down at The Gold Coast this weekend! The Yo Brisbane crew will be down supporting the event! One of the big headliners is the DUNE RATS who are Brisbane legends! These boys used to rip it up around the Mount Gravatt skatepark way back when. Who knows, maybe you saw them even at a house party! Other acts include Hip Hop sensations Drapht and Spit Syndicate!... Plus Peach Fur, IVEY, Von Villains, White Blanks and The VANNS The party will not stop there, the festivities will be kickin' on in the Shark bar at the 'GD FRNDS After Party' with DUNE RATS dropping in to jump on the DJ decks plus The Realist, BAD MOOD Movement, Jurassic Nark, McGill, Fletcher Jurassic Nark, McGill, Fletcher, Vices and GD FRNDS! Still not enough for your punk ass? There is also a massive half pipe with all round skaters creating the ultimate skate demo, courteously of Red Bull and FiiK Electric Skateboards! 11.01.2022 Slipknot and Lamb of God are touring in October and are playing the entertainment center on the 28th of October. Tickets have been priced for $150 (A bit ridiculous if you ask me) but today there is a sale going for $55 per ticket! 12 hours remain on the sale! Be aware that Violent Soho, The Bronx and Luca Brasi are playing The Riverstage on the same night! Don't double book yourself!

07.01.2022 PIXIES announced an Australian tour in 2017 today! They'll be playing The Brisbane Riverstage on March 2nd 2017! If you aren't too familiar with The Pixies, they are a huge influence on bands such as Nirvana, Radiohead, Weezer, Alice in Chains and The Strokes! Cobain was heavily influenced by The Pixies when writing the classic all angsty 90's kids know "Smells Like Teen Spirit!" and even admitted to basically trying to rip them off.... So I give you their biggest hit, Where Is My Mind!

06.01.2022 Brisbane based band Columbus has released their new album "Spring Forever" today! These boys are breaking through into the pop-punk barrier and creating a new aggressive sound which has strong emo influences that get paired with Alex's incredibly unique strong yet raspy voice which reminds me of a young Kris Roe (The Ataris) Which funnily enough is how we first heard of Columbus. Good work boys, keep up the good work and I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more from you in the coming months and years! Just don't turn into some sort of 5 Seconds of Summer garbage. #sorrynotsorry
