21.01.2022 Take care of yourself.

21.01.2022 Last classes for 2019 Thursday 19 December 2020 classes start Thursday 9 January

18.01.2022 All Yoga with Sita classes at Yaroomba Meeting Place are cancelled for the time being. These measures are taken in accordance with the current Australian Government guidelines. Stay well - looking forward to sharing more Yoga with you as soon as possible.

16.01.2022 The government has announced a shutdown of non-essential services which we are advised includes Yoga Classes from midday on Monday 23 March. Therefore, all classes are cancelled indefinitely. Keep in mind that the yoga practice you have been doing is to foster peace, balance and harmony within yourself. Yoga is perfect for providing support to your own health during times such as these, enhancing your wellbeing and reinforcing your immune system. A healthy Yoga practice, combined with a whole food diet, good sleep, staying well hydrated, and long deep breathes of fresh air all help to bolster our body’s natural defences against illness.

11.01.2022 Important Principles for Practice of the Asanas 1. Asanas are always performed in coordination with the breath: - Movements that expand the chest and abdominal ...cavity, are always connected with the inhalation - Movements that narrow the chest and abdominal cavity, are always connected with the exhalation 2. In the initial stages of practice, the Asanas are performed once or twice without holding, so that the movement of the body and the breath are synchronised. In this way it is clearly established with which movement to inhale or exhale. This type of practice calms the nervous system, stimulates the glands, increases the capacity of the breath and frees one from physical and mental stress. The mind becomes relaxed, calm and clear. 3. Only after this preliminary practice should an Asana be held for a longer time, breathing normally. During practice, concentration is directed to the specific part of the body on which the exercise is working. The breath consciousness is also directed to this region of the body. 4.After practicing a posture, a counter pose or equalising posture is carried out. For example, when one part of the body is flexed or contracted, then in the following Asana it is extended or stretched.

09.01.2022 Classes start this Thursday 9 January 9.00 - 10.30 am 5.30 - 7.00 pm Yaroomba Meeting Place

08.01.2022 Pranayam plays an essential role in reaching dharana, concentration. Dharana leads us to meditation and higher consciousness. Wisdom and blessing of the master ...is like a waterfall, which comes from Heaven. Practicing pranayam can lead us directly to the highest, pure joy called Brahmanandam. https://www.swamiji.tv/video/4156/pranayam-and-peace
