25.01.2022 This unique course starts next week. This design of the course and the system of practices lends itself extremely well to an online course. Unlike other yoga systems our primary practice is an eyes closed full body meditation in order to balance our subtle body and the 5 fundamental elements (Tattvas) in preparation for accessing kundalini source/Shakti power. 24.01.2022 In Classical Tantrik philosophy, God is not a separate being. Everything that exists is God, including yourself. Everything that manifests including this Universe cannot be anything other than this Absolute, Infinite Consciousness. That is all there is. So the 33 million or 33 major deities of Hinduism are only principles of this Infinite Consciousness. In this way they are your own personality traits, the aspects of your own true self. What is your relationship to what we call God? Do you feel separate to this or do you feel part of it? Do you feel that you are everything and everything is you?

22.01.2022 Diet is critical to strengthening your immune system. This article is a nice quick to read into some basic food groups and sources to help build your immune system. However I would personally guide you to lower your Dairy and other animal products intake. The cleared meat shelves in the supermarkets tells a story of our addiction to high density meat which doesn't leave much space for fruit, veges and nuts and seeds without overloading your digestive system. More fruit and veges - less meat and dairy! One of the most comprehensive studies ever done on vegetarian/non-vegetarian diets found that people lived an average 5 years longer on a vegetarian diet, but not just longer they were healthier.

17.01.2022 Why is sex such a great way to relax ? How does this Tantrik Yoga system regulate and harmonise the nervous system? Well not through sex but there is a link :-) ... We use a very specific integration of techniques. The system creates a deep relaxation using breath techniques, whole body meditation and guided meditation (some aspects of hypnotherapy) accessing the parasympathetic(dampening/rest/digest/slowing) autonomic nervous system and then while staying in this deeply relaxed state of the whole body, we then move into more active asana where the sympathetic(mobilising/flight/fight) nervous system is also accessed. We then alternative between the two focusing on accessing both sympathetic and parasympathetic. The harmonising comes from accessing both aspects of the autonomic simultaneously. So the body is using all of its action in a way that may normally be stressful but it is designed so that the practitioner is still in a very relaxed state. This creates the reprogramming to regulate and harmonise the nervous system. This is rarely done in our modern lifestyle. Normally people are either active and stressed accessing only sympathetic or when they are really tired they rest and may still be in an underlying stressed state. A parallel state is during sex when both sympathetic and para-sympathetic are accessed - which is one of the reasons why sex is such a great stress reliever for many people. HoweverTantrik yoga creates a deeper relaxation than sex due to the breathwork, guided meditation and specific asana(posture). There are no standing poses and it is all done with eyes closed with much of the time in full Shavasana to achieve maximum full body and mind relaxation. These techniques give an insight into the secrets of Tantrik Sexuality which is a sacred act of duality returning to Divine Infinite Universal Oneness.



15.01.2022 There seems to be a lack of transparency by the Australian Government and confusion in society about our long-term strategy for COVID-19. While NZ is opting fo...r attempted elimination, Australia is not. While the Australian short-term strategy is clear and is working to suppress with strong social distancing, it doesn't provide any information about the long-term solutions. For those hopeful of a vaccine, current evidence is that it may be a bit 'pie in the sky'. COVID-19 has many similarities to Influenza A (the only flu virus that can cause pandemics). The vaccine for Influenza A has only been running at a 10-30% success rate (for adults) for the last 5 years (depending on the year). Most people are protected from more serious effects of the flu, not from the vaccine, but rather from natural immunity from having it before. For older Australians this includes the 1968 Pandemic. There are a number of medical studies supporting this. So for Australia and other countries, there is a high risk of COVID-19 bouncing back with or without a vaccine until enough herd immunity has built up (its estimated to require a minimum of 60% of the population). "It's out there globally and it is going to come back at some point in time. We don't know whether a vaccine can be developed for it we are hoping it can but then the vaccine might not have the perfect ability to make people immune. Whatever happened, he said Australia's leaders would need to pick its course of action, and fast. Do we keep trying to suppress the hell out of it? We need to make the decision about what we do for the next 18 months. Think, and then commit to a plan." Professor Tony Blakely, an honorary Otago University academic based at the University of Melbourne. As a healer using traditional systems of knowledge, I feel the only long-term solution is the same as Influenza A. We must strengthen our collective immunity. By focusing on being healthier rather than just earning more, reducing levels of heart disease, lifestyle and environmentally-caused cancers and diabetes, having more fruit and veges - less meat and dairy in our diet, more exercise, live a more balanced life- like working less to reduce chronic stress in our society and inadequate/poor sleep (ie 4 day working weeks!). Drinking less alcohol. This would return our immune systems to where they need to be to make our society 'well, balanced and robust'. This will need significant government support through more equality and wealth redistribution and less focus on striving for economic wealth. These all seem like positive important structural changes to our society - rather than long-term rolling isolations and social movement control all the while hoping for vaccines for potentially years to come.

11.01.2022 In the US, slaughterhouses are now one of the largest COVID-19 hotspots with over 5000 workers contracting it, in Germany, they have just eased restrictions but now new outbreaks have occurred in three slaughterhouses, in Australia 16% of Cedar Meats slaughterhouse workforce in Victoria have COVID-19 making it one of largest sources of transmission in Australia. "Large Covid-19 clusters have also appeared in meatpacking plants around the world, including Canada, Spain, Irelan...d, Brazil, and Australia. One, two, or three meatpacking plantsfine, you might expect that. But these outbreaks are clearly a worldwide phenomenon, says Nicholas Christakis, head of the Human Nature Lab at Yale." (https://www.wired.com//why-meatpacking-plants-have-become/) It may not be coming from the slaughtered animals but it does highlight the barbaric environments where we kill millions of animals and take their bodies apart in production lines that are clearly not healthy environments.

08.01.2022 I have never found anything as radical, liberating or progressive as Traditional Tantra. Documented as being at least 1500 years old - it's power to offer liberation from all suffering and to remind us who we truly are make it a gift for humanity - for all time.



08.01.2022 This is in regards to US, but I'm sure its highly relevant here. It has been clear for a while that this is not a short-term issue and that we will be navigating this virus for years. This just re-enforces that taking powerful society-wide measures to strengthen our collective immunity is vital. We can't wait for a vaccine when we know that the Influenza A (the most common flu virus and the one that causes pandemics) vaccine was only effective in 10-30% of cases over the last... 5 years for adults. The Government have effectively been lying to people about the efficacy of that vaccine. If people are waiting in the hope of a Vaccine there is no motivation to actually focus on our health and wellbeing. This virus is a very clear message that society must reverse the massive decline in our society-level health. Life expectancy before the Crisis was declining around the world for the first time in modern history. Lifestyle-created disease that compromises immunity has been skyrocketing. Over 8 million people in Australia are now suffering from Type 2 Diabetes, Heart Disease, Hypertension and lifestyle-caused Cancers that are the hardest hit by COVID-19. They are all preventable through healthier lifestyles. It is imperative that we all work to strengthen our immune systems through diet (less meat and dairy and more vege and fruit), regular exercise, adequate sleep, significantly reducing stress, less or no alcohol and re-balancing our lifestyles. If the Government really want to save lives, they must transform our societies health and wellbeing through reducing inequality, wealth re-distribution, introducing 4 day working weeks and maybe a Universal Benefit to invest in quality of life and preventative health measures, rather than purely on economic wealth. Less focus on medication-based health programs that are leaving people in severe risk of viruses like COVID-19 and more on improving and balancing our lifestyles so that our species has a future that is not based on social distancing and enforced isolation.

It is an important symbol of divinity and sp...irituality in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism and is still commonly used in India and by practitioners around the world today. Unfortunately, the Nazi appropriation of the symbol has caused lasting damage to its spiritual use and westerners often fail to recognise its true history. This lack of recognition and understanding of its spiritual meaning and usage, in itself, just reinforces what was probably the most abhorrent cultural, spiritual & religious appropriation by any western culture. This is a deeply sacred symbol that is still important to many millions of people today. "Claims of cultural appropriation are often derided as belonging to the project of identity politics, but the inability of Hindus and Buddhists to practice their religions peaceably or to display their symbols proudly almost a hundred years after this ideological defilement shows that cultural appropriation can do real and lasting damage. It is all the worse when those seeking to stop us from using the swastika do so out of contempt, not for those from whom it was stolen, but for those who stole it."

05.01.2022 I have been studying both the traditional Chinese Daoist system of 5 element theory via Zenthai Shiatsu as well as the Indian Ayurvedic system of 5 elements through classical Tantra. I am a qualified teacher and therapist in the art of ZenThai Shiatsu which has the traditional Doaist 5element system of the energy body as its foundation (traditional Chinese medicine and philosophy). I am also a teacher of Traditional Tantra which strongly draws on the Ayurvedic 5 element syst...em. Through my study and practice of these systems, I can see the same sophisticated understanding shared by both systems. The meridians, 5 elements, yin/yang polarity of Daoist thought or the nadis, Chakras, 5 elements and duality of the Tantrik system. They both hold the same essential understanding of the energy body and our larger body, the cosmos. They both hold the same truths about our existence. The practice and the study of these different but similar systems has given me even more insights into the power and sophistication of traditional knowledge. 05.01.2022 THE TANTRIK SUBTLE BODY When we are authentically relaxed and in energetic balance our prana or chi can flow more easily through our body. Lifeforce naturally wants to flow into and through our whole being. The Tantriks realised and described our bodies as vibrational pulsating energetic forms, thousands of years before Quantum Mechanics had the same realisation. Tantriks described a whole system of our subtle vibrational body including Chakras, Nadis and Kundalini. We are more connected to this Universe, to the Whole when we are completely relaxed and in balance.

03.01.2022 BOOSTING YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM WITH TANTRA YOGA: The Kaula Tantra yoga system I teach uses several strategies to strengthen your immune system. Much of this is through harmonising, balancing and restoring the autonomic nervous system (ANS). This is the nervous system that your unconscious mind controls. The first strategy is developing more access to the Parasympathetic nervous system (dampening, rest & digest) which also tones and restores the vagus nerve, which is central to... this system. This is done through a specific integration of deep breathwork, guided meditation and yoga poses. A second strategy is to integrate the sympathetic and parasympathetic. It does this by first building a foundation of deep relaxation via yin poses, very slow and deep breathwork and guided meditation. It then layers more active yang postures while still retaining this deeply relaxed state. This dual activation of both internal Yin and Yang states harmonises and integrates both sympathetic (mobilising - active) and parasympathetic (dampening - resting). Trauma held in our vagus nerve and imbalance in our ANS is a chronic problem in our modern society and underlies many illness which are now appearing. Specific breathwork and yoga postures have been identified as being able to tone and stimulate the vagus nerve. Recent research has also identified our Thymus gland as a critical part of our immune system, particularly to protect us from viruses. Yet again stress has been identified as the primary cause of premature atrophy of this gland. Reducing long-held layers of stress and trauma and resetting our nervous system is imperative to boosting your immune system.

02.01.2022 BOOSTING YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM: The Thymus gland plays a really interesting role in the immune system. Particularly as we age the Thymus gland reduces in size, atrophies. It is likely that this is made worse with long-term stress. This is just one of the reasons I believe reducing stress and removing deeply held trauma from our nervous system and body is a key to strengthening your immune system. "The gland is very small in elderly people, but can sometimes atrophy prematurely in response to severe stress. The term used to describe the atrophy of the thymus gland with age is "thymic involution."
