25.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: Good day all, in light of recent measures announced by the Australian Government, please read the attached letter regarding the postponement of training. Thank you all. Tae Kwon

25.01.2022 Four at training on Tuesday, a good start on the road back from isolation. Drills, patterns and step-sparring (yes, it's doable!) all practiced whilst adhering to the current restrictions. Looking forward to seeng more of our students in the weeks to come! :)

24.01.2022 Regarding Covid-19 and training: Dear Students and Families, As all of you are likely aware, the Covid-19 situation is posing significant challenges to all sectors of society. We at Yom Chi Taekwon-do would like to assure you all that we take this situation very seriously. Following the latest advice from the Government of South Australia and the Federal Government, we will continue training, albeit with an increased level of caution. We will continue to operate so long as of...ficial advice deems it safe and appropriate to do so. Below are the measures that we will take based on official health advice: In the event of illness Any student who feels unwell, is showing symptoms, or has come into contact with someone diagnosed with Covid-19, please avoid training until such time as you are well. We ask that you follow the latest official health advice in regard to this. Hand Washing Anyone taking part in training, both students and instructors, will be expected to wash their hands with soap and water before and after training. Liquid soap is available in the PFCC amenities. Social Distancing Training will be non-contact, meaning no sparring or grappling exercises and pad-work will be abandoned due to the risk of spread via contact with equipment. We will focus on fundamental techniques, non-contact drills, and patterns-based training until further notice. I thank everyone for their co-operation in keeping each other, as well as the wider community safe in these challenging times. This situation is complex and ever-changing and Yom Chi Taekwon-do intends to keep abreast of the latest advice and will act rapidly to follow the latest official directions. We hope everyone is well, and we look forward to seeing you at training. Kind Regards, Mr. Evan Jarrett, Director, Chief Instructor

23.01.2022 Video taken at the last night of training before PFCC closed. Spot training: Any technique, any stance, anytime. All you need is a flat surface and enough space to perform the technique. Keep up the training guys - we will get through this. Indomitable Spirit!... Taekwon.

21.01.2022 Dear Students, We are now able to train from this coming Tuesday 2nd June! Stage two easing of restrictions has been brought forward by one week. Our official SA Gov Covid-safe plan states that we are capped at 10 participants in a class for now and that we are only allowed non-contact training until 25th June. It says that we need to keep attendance records of all students and parents/spectators present each night. People will also need to sign in and out at the Pooraka Farm... Community Centres sign in sheet. 1.5m social distancing and hygiene measures will apply for now. Hand sanitiser will be available in the Community Centre and we will provide some in the training hall as well. I am very excited to see you all and to get back to what we love doing. Please email/phone me of your intent to train so we can gauge the numbers. We are capped at 10 people but we also need enough people training to be financially viable. It will help us to know who is likely to be attending so we can plan accordingly. You can contact me by email or call me on 0438821523. Kind regards, Mr Evan Jarrett, Chief Instructor

21.01.2022 For anyone interested. :)

20.01.2022 Dear Students and Families, We hope you are all well. We are very pleased to inform you all that Yom Chi Taekwon-do will be returning to training from Tuesday 9th June. This is in line with the SA Governments Stage Two easing of restrictions that occurs from June 8, allowing for the resumption of indoor sports capped at 20 people. ... There will be measures that need to be taken in order to comply with the rules set by the Pooraka Farm Community Centre in order to use the hall safely. There will also likely be guidelines from the SA Government surrounding the safe practice of sport. We will keep you updated over the coming weeks. We are thrilled to be able to get back to what we love doing, and doing it with you!

20.01.2022 Just letting people know that our wonderful Community Centre is having a Family Fun Day in May. Well worth a visit, there is always something to see and do! :)

11.01.2022 Hello team! Here we have our second instalment of home conditioning to keep you challenged, fit and active! Watch until the end for a bonus challenge! Remember, stretch before and after to help avoid injuries. Let’s see who can get through everything including the extra challenge! Remember - only the supporting foot is on the ground for the extra challenge.

10.01.2022 Mr. Jarrett has kindly made a short video to help us practice our main kicks in isolation and in a confined space. Along with Mr. Macauley's conditioning videos, these will help us stay limber until we can train together again. Watch your distancing, take care not to break anything valuable in the space around you. :) #kicking #practice #drills #taekwondo #yomchi #itf
