21.01.2022 This week I bring you a beautiful song to sing that requires very little playing while singing. Bang Bang You Shot Me Down is a great song for beginners to intermediate players to learn a little finger picking, singing and playing and to finally nail that E chord if you haven’t already. I’ve made this one as simple as I can, as it is a great one to add to your songs to practice.... A tutorial will be coming out for this song soon, so watch this space! 19.01.2022 When you see difficult chords in songs do you put them straight in the ‘Too hard basket’? I remember avoiding barre chords for so long. I thought I couldn’t do it. Maybe I wasn’t strong enough. Maybe my finger was the wrong shape. I had all the excuses! Once I learned these tips and exercises I realised those dreaded barre chords weren’t quite as hard as I thought. ... You will still need to put in the work and practice to develop your strength. Learning to strengthen your index finger will get you ready to play barre chords and have you playing so many new chords.
