Now - in a new initiative - the program is being expanded to include younger children, aged 10-14, to prepare them for joining the demanding Net@ project by introducing them to the worlds of programming and improving their English. You can help young kids from the periphery go from high-risk to high tech by donating to Keren Hayesod on our website or Facebook page.

23.01.2022 Shalom Everyone, Following our inaugural Young UIA cocktail party last Thursday night, we are delighted to offer you another unique opportunity to participate in our newly created group for 24-35 year olds in Perth. Leah Biteolin is a young and beautiful Ethiopian-born Israeli, whose family risked everything to make aliyah. ... They walked from their small Ethiopian village to Sudan where they lived as refugees for 6 months. In 1984, when Leah was just 3 years old, they finally arrived in Israel. Today Leah helps young Ethiopian immigrants through the UIA-supported Youth Futures program. She helps them achieve personal and scholastic success and become productive members of society. She wants to give them the same opportunities that she was given growing up in Israel, and more! Leah will tell her inspirational story at a special informal afternoon tea of The Young UIA. 16.01.2022 In these days of global crisis, the repatriation of people to their homes is a top priority. Israel and Australia are cooperating to the full and will continue ...cooperating together in this crucial repatriation effort. Yesterday, the first ever direct flight between Israel and Australia, an El Al flight from Tel Aviv to Perth and back, brought over 100 Australian nationals in Israel back home and over 250 Israelis flew home to their families. This was an operation of mammoth proportions and involved close and ongoing cooperation between the Israeli Foreign Ministry, El Al Israel Airlines, and an entire range of Australian ministries both on the Federal and the State levels. The logistical implications were overwhelming and we are so happy that it was crowned with total success! We offer our deepest gratitude to DFAT, the Australian Border Force, the Australian Federal Police, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the United Israel Appeal, whose Perth representative, Adi Peleg, proved invaluable. #UnitedIsraelAppealAustralia #ELAL #IsraelMinistryofForeignAffairs

02.01.2022 Once again- resident of communities surrounding Gaza come under attack Keren Hayesod - for the People of Israel After a period of months in which Palestinian t...errorists sent incendiary kites and balloons carrying torches and explosives into the Israeli communities they have now stepped up their aggression and have renewed the rocket and mortar shell fire. Over the last several days, Hamas and other terrorist organizations have launched hundreds of rockets at Israel's southern communities. They also have extended their firing range and have sent rockets to Beersheba and Ashkelon, resulting in casualties and heavy property damage. Thanks to the generosity of Keren Hayesod donors the Barzilai hospital in Ashkelon has been fortified and a new emergency room has just been completed. On Monday night it took in 80 injured. As always we are here - together- for the people of Israel ! Several homes were hit on Monday night in Ashkelon - with one person killed and two severely wounded.
