Wiring post-plastering often results in: * unsightly use of conduit and/or ducting... * wall cavities no longer being accessible * increased contractor labour costs * restricted location options for infrastructure The reasons for this may be: * limited roof and/or underfloor access * insulation/siselation now present * noggins in the walls Many contractors are reluctant to undertake cabling related work post-plastering! Everyone knows to have electrical cabling 'roughed in' prior to plastering, but other cabling options to consider before the plaster goes up are: NBN, ethernet/data/phone, TV (pay TV & free to air), wireless access points, security and IP cameras.
