Last night my clients' massive tabby cat said a quiet hello, realised that the conversation wasn't about him so he sauntered from the room. #cattoogoodforme However, the other cat... a kitten. ... The kitten used me as part of it's own ninja course. #zoomies And this morning I have more scratches than usual following an estate planning meeting. 15.01.2022 Do you get sick of making decisions? I do. Often, actually. #toomany Decision fatigue.... It's a thing. You can't be bothered putting in the effort to make good decisions due to having to make too many decisions. That's decision fatigue. Your decision outcomes become more like potluck. Every day I get tired of making decisions Sometimes I do invite others to make them for me. Family, friends and the person making the coffees. Me: "I don't know. You tell me." Barrista: "Go the Reuben toasted." Me: "Okey dokey." People spend months making decisions around their wedding day, outback road trip and new business venture... Funerals? No? Why not? If you don't make decisions about your own funeral, your executors have days, not months, to make dozens of decisions around honouring your death... immediately following your death. F#&k that. Think about your death while you are healthy af. Put some plans in place then get on with living your best life. Do it for you and your family. This month I'm asking Michelle Jewels-Parsons, Celebrant, Author and End of Life Companion to help make my Death Day Party; my funeral. I'm going to make my own funeral plans. There will still be some decisions for my executors to make which I think is also an important part of the grieving process but they're not going to be overwhelmed trying to decide what they think I might've wanted.
