25.01.2022 Today, three of our young people represented GSC at the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) Graduation Mass. We were so proud of these three individuals, some participating in sharing readings and sacramental duties. Thanks also to Joshua Waters who shared some cultural and personal stories that were very moving. ... It was also exciting to see passed student, Brycen who managed to chat for a minute or so. Thank you to all who were involved in the planning of the day - it was very special.

24.01.2022 How fun was that Activity Day?! Today GSC headed to the Darling Downs Zoo! It was a fun and exciting time seeing and feeding the animals. After all that excitement we headed to Hello Harry’s for a very filling lunch. ... Well done to all the young people who were invited to attend today to celebrate your high attendance for the term. Keep up the good work!

23.01.2022 GSC would like to thank Base Services for recognising the abilities of our young people. Jydaya and Ruby have successfully gained full-time employment and will be completing their Certificate I in Hospitality over the next 6 months. 21.01.2022 Congratulations to GSC’s 2020 Senior Class. It was with great pride we were able to celebrate your commitment to your success. Thank you to Shannon, Barb and Marita for all of your hard work in making our 2020 formal dinner such a special evening. Who would have thought there was so much beauty... in each of your hearts - and you all scrubbed up well too...!

21.01.2022 Shannon & Aston, Because of you both, learning at GSC never stops. For your patience, your expertise, and your innate capacity to see the inherent dignity in all of our young people, we thank you. You bring calmness, lightness and learning to our community. ... 20.01.2022 Some extra photos from Monday: Thank you to the team who delivered the Love Bites Program and to all of our Good Samaritan Community. Thanks especially to Kirsti from PCYC who has become a regular support for our College as well as Peter Pendlebury from Act4Kids and Mark Welge who was the DJ who worked his magic to come up with an awesome rap with all of our talented musical young people. The college community were respectful and engaged in this program and had fun putting together a video and rap. Well done!!

19.01.2022 Just a reminder to all of our young people and their families, tomorrow is a pupil free day! Be safe, and enjoy the long weekend!

12.01.2022 Good Samaritan College prioritises the holistic well being of all of our community members. Today, it was the well being of our staff from a Ying Meditation Movement Session to reflection at Peacehaven Park. We were able to come together to reflect upon the challenges of Term 3, celebrate the successes, and recharge for Term 4. Liisa and the young people cannot thank the staff of GSC enough for all that they do. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.

12.01.2022 Another reminder of how wonderful Jacinta is...!

08.01.2022 Today was GSC’s Celebration Day! Due to restrictions, we celebrated in a different and much smaller manner than what we usually do; however, it was still a wonderful celebration of our young people. Thanks to Jacinta and Dave for leading us through a pledge supporting White Ribbon Day awareness. It was a very moving moment that we all shared together. ... Many awards were handed out today, congratulations to all recipients - in particular, Lurlene for being named: ‘Student of the Year’. Well done everyone, and we wish you a safe and happy Christmas and New Year! (Be good wise people, Phil Haxen)

07.01.2022 Yesterday, GSC celebrated with Michelle! A number of young people worked very hard to create a memorable baby shower for her. The young people are holding their drawings of what Baby-Kim might look like: the winners were Lurlene and Melody - well done to all entrants! Adam & Michelle were especially appreciative of the lovely gift of a video compilation from staff and students with kind well wishes for the future. They wish to say thank you for this thoughtfulness!
