19.01.2022 Have you taken the pledge? This week is National Road Safety Week. Every day a different road safety issue is featured and visitors to the website can take the road safety pledge, to help keep everyone safer on our roads. https://roadsafetyweek.com.au/ https://vimeo.com/434197056

18.01.2022 Last Monday Emma headed up north to facilitate a parent forum and student workshops for Mullumbimby High School. The parent forum on 'young people and risk taking', was organised by the P&C thanks to a community road safety grant and while she was up there, Emma met with the high school students to facilitate our "Are we There Yet?" road safety session. Working with both parents and students supports a whole-of-school approach for effective injury prevention education.

17.01.2022 Youthsafe is looking to provide support for sporting coaches of teenagers to help them bring out the best in young players. To do this, we are asking anyone who coaches teenage athletes to complete this survey to capture your views: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/teen_coaches... The survey can be anonymous and should take no more than five minutes to complete. Thanks from the Youthsafe Team

14.01.2022 It's taken about 20 years, but Youthsafe has finally been granted Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status - announced in the latest Federal Budget. We sincerely thank John Alexander, Federal Member for Bennelong, for his invaluable assistance in helping us achieve this goal. Pictured is some of the team with Chairperson Professor James Middleton (back left) Youthsafe founder Professor John Yeo (centre).

05.01.2022 A big shout out to ALDI Australia for its continuing commitment to community safety. Youthsafe has proudly supplied ALDI supermarkets in NSW with safer socialising collateral for over seven years . Our fact sheet 'Safer Celebrating' (pictured) can be found at checkouts close to Aldi’s alcohol sales area. It gives parents information about young people, their alcohol use and the law. It also provides tips and strategies around proactive party planning and management. Have yo...u seen these resources in your local ALDI store? If so, let us know where or even better, post a piccie and tag @youthsafe82 #aldi #prevention #youngpeople #safercelebrating #tipsparenting #education #CaringForTheCommunity See more
