20.01.2022 Hi, last week it’s been 2 years since Yuki Judo Dojo opened its doors on 6 May 2019. It’s been a long way since those early days. And today, I’m very proud and happy to see that Yuki Judo family has currently 29 Judokas training regularly across our three classes, with ages going from 3 years old to 45! Over the years we have created partnerships with Blind Sports Victoria and This Girl Can as a way of consolidating our vision of having an inclusive Dojo where anyone can com...e and learn Judo no matter their gender, age, believes, fitness level or abilities. There’s still a long way to go to keep promoting this amazing Martial Art and Olympic Sport, but I just wanted to take the time to thank all our Judokas and their families for their support and trust over these two years. See you on the mat!

13.01.2022 Hi, Yuki Judo is having a Free Online Training Session for Kids this Thursday 7 May at 4pm (AEST). The session is for young Judokas from 7 years old onwards and is going to be a live version of our video classes. All the video classes, as well as this live session are free and no registration is required. Just go to www.yukijudo.com.au/onlinejudo/ to get the Zoom ID for the session or to watch the video classes.... Kids who haven’t trained Judo before are welcome to join the class, but is better for them to do some of the video classes beforehand to have an idea of what’s coming. 11.01.2022 Congratulations to the Judokas from Yuki Judo who attended the VAJU Autumn Tournament yesterday. It was a great event with around 25 participants across all categories! Results and highlights from yesterday:... UNDER13 Congratulations to Eilidh for participating on her first tournament showing great attitude with some loses and wins, but taking valuable experience for the future. Abi did a great job joining the comp at the last minute without having fully recovered from her finger luxation last week. Being one of the lighter participants in her category, she fought amazingly and demonstrated great Judo skills. Both competitors had five exhausting fights with many experienced Judokas and demonstrated they have what it takes to be great Judokas! UNDER 15 Great tournament for Bonnie, participating in a very though category with many experienced Judokas. After four intense fights, she received the bronze medal in her category! All in all, a highly successful tournament. We had fun, we learn a lot and we are ready to keep training for the next one in June! #judo #YukiJudoAU #ThisGirlCanVIC

06.01.2022 Hi, I’d like to share some free online judo classes for kids that I started recording sometime after we stop our classes due to the coronavirus pandemic. Please, don’t expect perfect ‘Instagram’ quality videos, this is more about Judo. Originally, I started making them for the young judokas in our kids class and, until now, I’ve kept them at the Yuki Judo website. But since the kids seem to really enjoy them and they’ve been training several times per week (some have even fol...lowed the videos together via Zoom!), I thought it might be useful to share them here, so other kids can also keep working on their Judo while staying at home. We’re starting with the basics and all the exercises can be done in a reduced space. They just need to stand in front of a TV, laptop or mobile phone, play the videos and follow the instructions. I hope it will help other young judokas to navigate these social distancing times without missing too much their Judo classes. 01.01.2022 I just wanted to share with you, surely the best judo gift I’ve ever received: a custom made book written by Eilidh and with illustrations by Abi, two Judokas from Yuki Judo’s Kids class. It’s about a kata training at Yuki Judo that they came to see back in October. I could not have thought of a better gift to finalise this first year of Yuki Judo Dojo....
