We practiced social distance between different parties and strict hygiene protocol between patrons. It is a whole new world! 10.01.2022 A little something to share to all restaurant diners out there so that you can understand the difficulty faced by all restaurants / cafes. While this post was done by a chef in North America, things are not that different here in Australia. Yuzu Dining was primarily a dining restaurant. With the dining income as a main source income, using third party delivery service such as Ubereats or Deliveroo was supplementary. However things are different now - we are having to rely... completely on delivery / takeaway and the maths just don't add up for us. (Watch the video below) We are staying open to: 1) Continue to provide jobs to those staff that are not eligible for Jobkeeper / Jobseeker allowance (i.e. those on student visas supplementing their living costs while studying here) 2) For our local loyal customers that come dine with us on a weekly basis (so that they can at least get a takeaway or delivery) There is no profit in us staying open at the moment...but we are staying open purely for the reasons above. We understand that many people have been stood down and are financially difficult as well. If you want to support your local businesses, order directly from us! While our system may not be perfect, we have even created a temporary online order platform to make it easier for you to place an order (we are working on an improved online e-commerce platform). 07.01.2022 Hello Australians and Sydney-ers! We have done well flatenning the curve and have been granted to indulge in a little bit of our pre-COVID19 luxuries like dining out from tomorrow!! Since we are only allowed 10 customers at a time we are taking reservations (leaving room for some walk-ins) every hour at half hour mark (5:30/6:30/7:30 etc). 02.01.2022 Dear Yuzu Dining patrons, In response to federal government announcement requiring all cafes and restaurants to switch to takeaway and delivery only from midday today, we will be serving seated customers until that point observing 4 sq m rule imposed. We will be open for delivery and takeaway only from midday for lunch and then again for dinner. Whether we will stay open for takeaway and delivery from Tuesday 24 March is to be determined in this ever changing environment....
