24.01.2022 Happy Anniversary to Lucy & Peter!! Meeting wonderful humans like these two, not only getting to photograph their epic story but also creating long lasting friendships for years to come... has been the highlight of my career I am beyond blessed to have met so many amazing people the past 9 years! 23.01.2022 Courtney and Elliot were always going to elope in secret, but when covid shut the borders, their besties from Melbourne could no longer be there to be their witnesses. Thanks to technology, they still sorta got to be there. If you ever considered eloping, zoom-style, this would be the year to do it.

22.01.2022 Being in front of the camera was nerve-wracking for Sophie and definitely not Zac's first choice of after-work activity, so I stuck to my low-key, candid approach and made sure they had fun being themselves while making these memories before their bubba's arrival (which should be any day now!) 20.01.2022 Love a good cloudscape

20.01.2022 This is all of us right now looking for an end date to this lockdown How are you all? It’s been a surreal couple of months. I went radio silent trying to process it all, and between homeschooling my kids and keeping them healthy, working with my couples to rearrange my wedding season, and just trying not to touch my face pushing my presence on social media just didn’t feel like an appropriate priority anymore. So wherever you are, I hope you’re using this time to slow down, rest up, look after your health, and stay optimistic. If we’ve got a wedding together this or next year, keep planning, keep the love and excitement in your hearts... because this too shall pass

19.01.2022 She said yes! the rain stopped but only for long enough for this moment to happen Huge thanks to Shae An @the.collection.co for creating this gorgeous picnic

18.01.2022 Emily and James could not have picked a worse week to come up from Melbourne to Palm Cove to elope. The day before they got married, we got 207mm of rain But the weather gods must have loved us, because look

17.01.2022 When your clients treat you like you are part of the family on the day, and then leave you generous reviews like this right after their wedding! I am very grateful for the beautiful souls I continue to meet and connect with on this journey.

15.01.2022 A year ago I photographed my friend’s wedding. She has two beautiful daughters and a son. The boy adored his sisters and wanted to wear a dress just like them. His parents tried to put a suit on him but he cried (pictured). In the end, they favoured a relaxing day where their children got to be themselves and happy over a piece of clothing. When these photos were circulated in the news here and overseas, my friend received so many hateful, homophobic, outdated and outrageous... comments, accusing her of brainwashing and gender bending her son. (Notice in the photographs it was Dad who lovingly helped his son into the dress). What I saw were two great parents who put their kids’ happiness before people’s opinions and superficial manmade standards. And one subsequently cheerful boy who went on to enjoy the day. I love that my job is to bear witness to such wonderful stories and see true love in action. Happy Anniversary Jo & Naj! You guys are amazing parents @ Fitzroy Island, Great Barrier Reef

14.01.2022 Patiently waiting for the day I can tell your stories again with pictures like this

14.01.2022 Felicity and Stephen got married on Saturday, although these are not typical location photos of the newlyweds, but of Felicity’s Oma and Opa and taken at the local hospital. When her Oma suffered a stroke just one day before the wedding, Felicity made plans to visit her at the hospital after the ceremony so that they could all be together in the family photos. Afterwards I asked Opa if I could photograph him with Oma, so he sat down next to her and began speaking softly whil...e stroking her face. Whatever he said made her smile. The way he looked at her (after half a century of being married!) and the way she reached out to touch his face there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. I felt honoured and privileged to be in this room. Weddings are about so much more than the dress, the location shoot, the pretty details. The real gem has always been about our loved ones that we share it with, and the 50+ years of memories waiting for us on the other side of this one day.

11.01.2022 If you're gonna get married in Cairns, you'd better know how to read a rain radar map. But then, maybe all you need IS love. Especially from the weather gods. http://www.zenphotography.com.au/emily-james-palm-cove-elo/

11.01.2022 Esther and Sam's wedding won the award for having the most guests I've either photographed as couples getting married or as guests from previous weddings.
